Top 3 and 5 hunter pets in TBC and Wrath. PVE mainly

Hey so I’ve asked several times in game and watched a bunch of Youtube videos that contradict each other.

My issue is I like pets, but I can pretty much get attached to any one and not want to release it.

I also am interested in potentially getting the best pets, people say this contradicts the use your faves philosophy but it doesn’t as any I get can become my faves and I don’t want to miss out on higher level content because of crazy min max obsessed people not inviting me to stuff.

I understand the trinity in classic is Wolf, WS and Broken tooth.
In TBCC I heard its Wolf, WS and Ravager.
I saw one video argue it was Wolf, WS and Ravager/Cat/Raptor depending on context.
I’ve also heard people say that at max level with the right gear that WS is better than Ravager.

I know you eventually get 2 more slots in Wrath and I was told I should use a spirit beast and a Devilsaur for those 2 with wolf making a comeback.

I currently have A piggy and BT on classic and leaving the third blank till the last skills and then I’ll pick a wolf or WS.

On TBCC I have the Boostie wolf, who I grew attached to, and screwed up and got an Plague Swine I already got attached to. So I guess my third slot is going to be Ravager?

At 60 I hope I’m not too attached to the Ravager to get WS.

So basically:

What is the PVE trinity for classic and which last one should I get?
What is the PVE trinity for TBC and who should fill my last slot there?
What are the top 5 pets for Wrath?

Now attack speed is normalised.

Get anything with charge or dash and gore for raiding, a ravager usually.

PvP is a Scorpion.

Levelling is Wind serpent or anything with a charge and/or gore.

Does anyone else find it kinda depressing seeing 95% of hunters using ravager. As if the tiny little bit of extra DPS is so important to people they would pick ravager and be exactly the same as everyone else over something with flavour or character like a cat or bear.
