Top 3 Blizzard Absurdities to Holy Priests

  1. Sample Abilities.

These are the abilities you see when selecting a spec. For most specs they’re iconic, lets take a look:

Discipline priest: atonement and PW: Shield - bread and butter abilities, that do overwhelming majority of healing for this spec.

Shadow priest: shadow form and void form - 2 powerful damage boosts, super impactful both in numbers and visuals.

Holy priest - prayer of mending and spirit of redemption - you can literally delete both of these abilities and I will not notice the difference in my performance.
Spirit of Redemption is often a curse than a blessing, as it delays a wipe rather than prevents it.
Prayer of mending heals for an astounding 56k, this is almost 0.9% of 6 million health
player or 0.6% of your average tank with 9-10 millions. Despite me spamming prayer of mending all the time (old habit from DF), it does around 3% of my total healing, my weapon enchant (authority of fiery resolve) does the same amount of healing for me.

  1. Talents with sole purpose to empower Prayer of Mending: [Benediction], [Holy Mending], [Divine Service], [Prayers of the Virtuous], [Say Your Prayers], [Epiphany], [Focused Mending].

Aye, we got 7 talents (most of them are mandatory) for one of our most worthless abilities. Delete them all and I will barely notice any difference.

  1. Prayer of Healing description.

This one is my favorite! “A POWERFUL prayer that heals the target and the 4 nearest allies for within 40 yards for 95k” Costs 110k mana.

Yep, despite this being a dead ability for years, when a new player checks the description, blizzard tells them that this is a POWERFUL ability. Never mind that you will quicker run out of mana than top the health of anyone in your group

This is my top 3, perhaps you guys have your favorite “perks” from Blizzard for holy priests or priests in general? Now that we are screwed and there is no tuning on horizon, at least we can make fun of them
