yea i gotcha my bad
Feaster.
RP’ers that whisper kodo-dung and Zhevra-waste OOC to you and others about RP’ers they disagree IC with, along with RP’ers that demands you stop portraying -your- Character, again through OOC interactions.
- Neutral RPers
- Child RPers
- Rebel RPers (yes i know the rebellion is over but this is just the title y’all have now)
- PCU
- PCU again
Void elf RPers are the worst, I heard.
You heard correctly, and it’s also true.
Void Elf RPers ate my dog.
The ones who pretend to be characters in a fantasy world.
What absolute bastards.
The Following choices are decided by mine and other people’s experience. This list also excludes obvious choices like ERPers and people called Mark.
Number 5. Your S.O.
No, I don’t want to make another couple together, I want to play a damn Orc Warrior, not all our characters have to be a couple.
Number 4. Alt-tabbers
Please focus on the game, stop alt tabbing and watching Seinfeld!
Number 3. Anime RPers
I swear to god if you sigh one more time or do another “…” I’m going to knock your lights out.
Number 2. Exotic Race RPers
Hold up, so you’re telling me an Arakkoa is just strolling around going down to the fish market in stormwind? Nah, boy, that ain’t it.
And of course, Number 1.
Dudflex.
He should have been aborted. He is a menace and the worst thing living on the planet. He should be arrested and shot on sight. He is a cancer on the world. He needs to be put down. Why? Because… Because… Because I said so.
Wikipedia role players that know the patch notes IC and have uncovered the great plans of the Old Gods / the Legion / the Scourge etc. casually by role playing in towns exclusively
Pm me your worries, I won’t show them to my guild I promise.
Number 5:
People who try to control areas or hubs.
Number 4:
Guard RP’ers.
Number 3:
Forum warriors that go out their way to aggravate the rest of the community then act surprised when nobody wants to interact with them.
Number 2:
People who make purpose made alts ready to be discarded, to do the "Bad thing" so their main can be free of flack.
Number 1:
Crusaders - people that try to force their ooc/IC dislikes on the community because it gives them an excuse to attack people ooc to further a bizarre agenda.
Yeah, I hate that too, man.
[A comment about Iron Horde cannons stationed in Crossroads]
Especially if they start trying to do some weird mass report stuff smiles
For me its players who play the same character (with a few nominal changes based on race / class) across several (different) characters
ie. their forsaken soldier in an overtly Sylvanas-aligned group might really weirdly have the exact same opinions and even dialogue as their honourable spiritual orc but in a slightly different accent
It becomes really obvious that these characters are just second life avatars used to push what is basically an OOC opinion
Yeah like when this group used to pretend the guards of Garadar were their pals and would instantly begin trying to exile people
Luckily they retconned it really quickly
- ERPers
- ERPers
- ERPers
- Second Life RPers
- ERPers
If this isn’t your list, I have some news for you…
People who get into RP conflict for OOC gain because:
- They dislike someone.
- They compete for IC supremacy (in fights, ranks, politics)
- They are just weird dudes who generally can’t keep IC and OOC seperate
When I meet somebody new and really enjoy roleplaying with them and they seem like a really class player it gives me a buzz. It’s like meeting someone in a vast crowd that you share a niche interest with and that connection really means a lot to me.
Unfortunately, in nine out of ten cases, these people - once they’ve got comfortable with me - will then start filling every conversation by inserting how bad X is at roleplaying, how ridiculous Y’s character is, how Z doesn’t even know the lore… yeah.
Same thing happens in most guild and community Discords I join and I’ve left most of them for the same reason. I enjoy talking about roleplaying; about this vast universe and hobby shared by thousands of us. Why then, in almost every instance, does the conversation always magnetically bounce back to talking crap about other people? It’s dull.
That’s the kind of roleplayer I hate OOC.
Second Life roleplayers. Not to be confused with city roleplayers, although they overlap often, they are basically projecting themselves into the game all logic be damned. Always breaks my heart when someone starts talking about democracy in the middle of Orgrimmar, or begins quoting wowpedia articles at me with no nuance or substance as a character.
Times five.
