I’m making a top 5 video list of the worst types of people OOC to interact with. I’d like to know what types of people you find most irritating on an OOC level in discord, guild chat, whisper etc. Any ideas you have just throw them my way.
Please note: this is types of people not individuals, I don’t want to attack anyone because I’m a punk b***h.
People who play characters with strong negative personalities, then act surprised or get upset when you don’t want to keep playing with them because their characters are that unlikeable.

Hahaha! Golden!
People mentally incapable of not self-inserting their ideal perfect self who’s never wrong and never defeated. Often an extremely anime character who’s wholly insufferable with the psychology of a violent toddler. They’re good to friends but will fight anyone at the drop of a hat and fail to recognise how this makes them a self interested villain rather than a hero because their moral dimension and social skills are puddle deep.
Also, the people who treat RP servers as a political game, spending more time OOC plotting to undermine others than being creative as if they’re some high school movie mean girl.
Me.
In ten characters
I see myself in this thread, and I don’t like it.

Sad because it’s true
People you duel with and dodge everything you do and never get hurt.
Who’s Feaster?
The worst type of roleplayer is the person who has no regard for anyone’s fun but their own. Their way is the only way; for them, roleplay is a competition to be won, not a passtime to enjoy with others.
I got 2 for ya:
-
Self inserts who can’t distinguish between IC and OOC
-
Hypocrites who act holier-than-thou and pretend to be mother teresa types in public but are actually far more malicious behind closed doors than the people they claim are the ‘bad guys’.
Bonus third: erpers.
-
Players who can’t help but keep IC and OOC mixed.
-
‘Hardcore Casual RPers’. I don’t think casual RP is bad, and if you’re playing WoW for a very soft, very easy-going experience, that’s fine. But people who try and start trouble and then instantly become stressed out and unpleasant OOC because they can’t deal with IC conflict are people worth avoiding.
-
‘Child RPers’. I really don’t have to say any more. This has been covered in too many threads as it is.
-
‘Play to Win’ RPers who never allow their characters to show weakness, take physical (or, dare I say, emotional) damage, and only seem to exist to prove to themselves that they’re the biggest and baddest in the room.
-
‘Sideline RPers’. Roleplayers who approach big gatherings, roll their eyes, go “huh… this again… never get a moment of peace…” and then walk away. What are you adding to the environment here? The atmosphere? This is more of a big pet peeve but man, it just rattles me. Same attitude goes towards hecklers, who just stand at the sidelines and yell nonsense while you’re trying to actually create some dynamic roleplay.
is this universally bad rp tho?
Could be amazing IC and played well.
But would not be a fun person to RP with if they act like this OOC.
Hey, i wanted to say that first!
Although i think Loras, Bearan and others summed it up well…
The post is about people OOC, if it were IC it wouldn’t be a problem but these kinds of people exist and are imo a blight on the community.
People who do this thing that I don’t like.
