Top 5 Worst Types of People to RP with?

Plus, both MU and AU, emnity between orcs and others happened due to the orcs attacking the other party unprovoked. And in the AU they did not even have the ‘We drank demonblood’-excuse. The Alliance literally exists -because- of the Horde. Back in the Black Morass dungeon, a bronze dragon even explains that without the Horde the human kingdoms would’ve probably continued fighting amongst each other, making the place easy pickings for the Legion.

Ofcourse it doesn’t help that Blizz likes to hit the Horde with the villainbat and make the Alliance into goody two-shoes.

Warrior > lame priest+hunter combo nelf

proven right

Other than the FACT above, which is true.:wink:
Yeah it was kinda stupid.

I’ve made this argument before, the AU Orcs in particular(Not the MU ones) are a geniune evil race. While Garrosh did hop in and intervene with the timeline, Grommash and the other warlords were all onboard with conquering Draenor, using every chaotic evil option in the book, murdering the Draenei and invading Azeroth, simply because an orc said “Do this, it will be cool.”

And -very- few orcs showed to have any second thoughts to this unless they were frostwolf or deemed “weak”.

Edit: Oh and Grommash wasnt helping us out either because it’s the good thing to do. He is salty that Gul’dan took over, he wanted to be the ruler and will preffer to ally with this enemies than let someone else be in charge.

And then with the Mag’har Scenario. While I find it terrible and laughable writing that Yrel turned into a warmongering crazy person only within 30 years, the lines that are meant to garner Sympathy for the Mag’har shows it was, still entierly their fault.

Essentially, after we left and they went on building things up peacefully, Yrel and the Draenei(with a Naaru guiding them later) thought it might be good to ask the orcs to…maybe stop doing literal void magic, which we had -several- zones showed us was a terrible idea, and went against their ancestral believes, since Ner’Zhul’s void magic was all about corrupting the land, the ancestral spirits and sacrificing innocents.

The Mag’hars response wasn’t “you know what, sure. let’s go back to shamanism”. It was to openly attack the Draenei, insult them and double down on the void magic because “why not lol, you can’t tell us what to do!”.

And then things escalated from there.

Mag’har is the one allied race I have not recruited, and they are possibly the single worst of the monk races for the reasons you describe.

I really do not like what they did with them.

I wouldn’t ever roll a mag’har as an AU Mag’har. I hoped we’d get even more separated from WoD as xpacs go on but NOOOOOO, outland orcs with the same customisation are too much to give.

The Mag’har are pretty much in accordance to their own lore, even less “true orcs” than the MU ones.

By the time we find the Mag’har and recruit them they no longer believe in neither the ancestors or the elements, they stopped that pretty much immediatly, because for whatever reason, they thought it was great to keep up the void magic. And at this point, they don’t even believe in that. They believe in war, and killing as much of their enemies as possible just because they can.

And then refused to back down simply out of spite, and when you recruit them they have gone back to basically a worse version of the Iron Horde, full on intent on destroying Draenor and turning it into a wasteland, as long as they get to be the ones to do it, over than listening to anyone.

Their entire central belief is essentially “We get all demands 100% or everything, including us might as well die & we’ll also make sure it does.” They’re even using the same war tactics and machines as the Iron Horde, but only more agressivly and with more dark magic. There is also no clan individuality anymore. All of the Clan believes have been shredded off into simply “The Mag’har”, which is the worst aspects of the Warsong & Blackrock traditions and styles combined, and doubled down. Anything else is non-existant anymore since it was deemed weak or have been “converted” by the lightforged.

One of many reasons I don’t like it. WoD was cool in the way it focused on differentiating the clans. The allied race threw that out the window.

Even the true Mag’har orcs(outland) isnt that bad. Blackrock clan is non-existant since by their very nature they all turned irredeemably evil and now reside in Azeroth. Same with Shattered Hand(though still exist in outland but evil). Warsong, those that remained, turned away a bit from the agression.

Infact, the Outland orcs seem to have adopted a mix of frostwolf and the old Shadowmoon clans belief, in that “yeah the agressive clans actually doomed our race and planet, so lets try to not do that again”.

I feel like they made the Mag’har scenario the way they did only to establish the Lightbound as a threat and something the Light can do so that their future Light vs Void plots feel a little bit less forced.

You raise an interesting point, and I’d like to mention that not EVERY character needs to be special or interesting or have these rich hobbies/personality/whatever.

Just like in real life, most people are… ordinary. There’s nothing wrong with playing a character that just… isn’t that interesting, and is just a regular guy.

And it remains true.

They have the sexy poses of the belfs, therefore most Alliance-players welcome them for that alone.

The “humans boring” meme is as tired as it is untrue, really. Humans in WoW are distinctly separate from real world humans; we’re not in a quasi-medieval, fantasy society. We can’t call upon holy power, or magic, or demons. We’re not descended from giant viking men, who in turn used to be made out of metal.

Like Telaryn said earlier on, it’s not about what a character is, it’s about how they’re portrayed by the roleplayer.

Every race is interesting, from their archetypes to playing against that type.

No, we (the Nordics) are descendants of Vikings, and we have now turned into Metal.

Don’t lump all of us Nordics into being the descendants of vikings. That’s only Scandis. My ancestors hunted vikings when they raided Finland and the largest viking mass grave is off the coast of Finland :fire:

Finland is F-Tier Nordics… y’all shouldn’t even be part of it with yer mumbo-jumbo language.

Finnish is really just misheard Swedish shaped into Finnish grammar rules with some loan words from Russian, English and German after 600 years as a conquered vassal state

truth is that there are very few original finnish root words that are still used in modern speech due to them being so archaic

Weak. Doesn’t it resemble Sami tho? (I’ve only seen little Sami though.)

Still, us Nordics are big in the metal world, and that’s so gucci. :+1:

Different language group.

it’s about as closely related to Finnish as English is to Slavic languages because they’re both Indo-European languages.

My knowledge of the Sami is extremely low. I just know they live up in the north and live with reindeers.
