Ranged DPS always fluctuated a lot. Can’t say anything useful about it. I really think mages never done really bad maybe not nr. 1 or 2 at all raids but I think they always ended up in top 3.
For melee, just go for rogue. Never bad. Just like the mage, might not have been nr. 1 every raid but they never were outside top 3 either. And about pvp well rogue is nr. 1 pvp class by design.
Monks shone in MoP and WoD and have been cut back since. DKs were probably best in Wrath and Cata and spent a lot of 8.0+ moaning.
Classes launched with expansions get about 4 years until they stop being OP.
Rogues and mages always seem to have at least 1 top-tier spec, largely because they do nothing else but dps. Any class with multiple group roles runs the risk of becoming poor in one of them each patch, and it may make them second or third choice for dps.
For PVE situations from the classes that I have played and I only play melee.
Demon hunter by a huge margin. Survivability, Aoe, Single Target, m+ utility and group stun.
Rogue. survivability, m+ utility and stun. Weakness: choose between Aoe or St , you cannot have both unless you fully spec into one.
Warrior has both single target and aoe. Weak pve survability and stun needs to be talented.
My guild mates play monk and I see they seem to be good in most situations but don’t have the high single target ceiling the aforementioned classes have.
I current main a rogue until they implement an Orc demon hunter as I play Orcs.
Compare a very good arms against a medicore rogue or dh and rethink your statement. There are some speccs who are so far behind now you cannot get more out of em with skill.
The most powerful class in the game, perpetually and for ever by lore is the mage. The weakest against attacks and the most powerful in dealing damage in any way, shape and form. (Currently wow has no balance so classes that excel at every single form of playstyle such as rogues are overpowered still). Mage damage is mediocre at best.
For ranged choose druid (most overpowered on balance right now).
Well i suffered during 8.0 was a bottom feeder in Uldir but still did outperform some classes/specs because there are still a lot of noobs in the game and no matter how good their class/spec is they still suck!
Thats true. Bad players can be beaten by any class but I know for sure, as soon as players are on a decent level you can’t stand a chance as arms against a dh or a rogue for example
yeah no doubt! I have 20 more days gametime to get curve Azshara and i go on a long break until 8.3 final raid! After that i dont know if i will bother with wow again every expansion we have to deal with the same ****!
