Hello, I just created a very long topic in the SoM beta forum, I edited it two times shortly after posting and then I got a message that it was temporarily hidden due to spam-protection. Alright but when will it be there again??
When, and if a moderator approves it.
Usually within a day, except on weekends (staff seem keep office hours except for a skeleton crew), but I have had posts be stuck in moderation for over a week in the past.
Wow⌠crazy, this feels like sensorship
You mean, them wanting to make sure that a post complies with forum rules because said post hit several triggers, either words, phrases or conditions, is censorship?
I call it âenforcing the rulesâ.
I am sure the post was fine, it was just hidden shortly after posted. This is absolutely sensorship.
No itâs not. The spam protection measures are automated, and are triggered when a relatively new poster hits a number of triggers in a single post.
But, believe what you want.
Call it what you want, I call it sensorship. The system does not give a reason at all.
Your attitude is already telling me why it hit the moderation triggers.
LMAO
Editing a post too many times in a short time period can trigger the anti spam feature.
Actually it did gave a reason, which you disagree with. This is merely to protect against several forms of spam which would be more prevalent without.
Trying to be funny but you are not succeeding.
Editing a few words for grammar correction in a long post does not classify as spamming, no matter how you look at it.
It does not give a reason at all why this was spam. When you try to use a bad word it will prevent you from posting at all.
This is pure sensorship.
Your post probably was not spam but since spammers use or have used methods like that (make a legit post, edit it to spam) to get through the spam filters the spam filters likely triggered because of that.
They are automatic filters. There is nobody deciding that you personally need to be censored for some weird reason.
censorship
/ËsÉnsÉĘÉŞp/
noun
the suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security.
âthe regulation imposes censorship on all mediaâ
This is a private forum with anti spam rules. I donât think Blizzard is using censorship tactics against your opinion on a content patch. Shouting censorship doesnât even make sense. You arenât being silenced across all forms of media etc. They have a right to add anti spam features if they feel like it, Itâs their forum.
You can post anything about them on social media, or your own website etc. Without any punishment, So therefore Censorship is out of the question.
Let me ask you this, If you made a website with a forum on it do you think I have a right to say anything even if it looks like spam? Or would you think hiding my post is âcensorship?â It legit doesnât fit under the rules of censorship. Itâs like listening to they people shouting âfreedom of speechâ when their post gets removed on a private forum.
