Torghast: final bosses have a enrage timer? Why

So i managed to complete layer 2 on both the new wings. Final bosses in those felt like a challenge, but pulled it off using my abilities.

When trying layer 3, when doing the final boss, it was intense and a challenge, i was barely going to make it, by the look of things, but then as it had around 50k health left, it started to hit extremly hard and pet died, managed to ress it, it quickly died and then i died: no chance.

It felt like a enrage timer.
I tried a few more times: same result.

If this is was this is going to be, its dissapointing.
I was under the impression that with skill, you could make it.

Now, as i see it: first of all you “need” to scout every level and hope to Yog himself that you get “increases your damage by X” orbs. This is pure luck, so you could risk doing a run and end up at the final boss, basically screwed.

*runs where done on bm hunter, ilvl 148.

148 is pretty low I think

No it isn’t

i did upto and including layer 3 at around 150 ilvl on my rogue very comfy, some bosses just randomly hit hard for no reason idk why

When they ripped the idea from FF14 they should have done so fully.

There your regular gear isn’t counted and you get armor and a weapon that you only use inside that levels with you.

That would remove all the ilvl balance issues at least.

for OP it obviously is

I think my 168 is “low”… considering most people who actully care for progress is above 180 at this point

It is a tactical fail, not a DPS one, especially for a hunter with the utility they posses.

Don’t rush it mate, gearing is rather rng dependent currently unless you run prestack groups.

Anna… i love when you post and i often read you with pleasure but lately you are just talkin about FFXIV (ripping from, the community is better there usw). Why are you playin wow?

So instead of farming better gear you come to forums complaining about how hard it is at IL 148? 148 il means you don’t even have basic blue proffesion gear.

Oh i’m not, or i would also be in the 180+, But the ilvl requirement in LFD is only gonna get higher not lower. Preferbly you do not wanna be below the “curve”

Having an empty legendary item increases your average item level if it matters that much.

I’m not… and it’s my opinion :woman_shrugging:t2:

It dosen’t matter to me, i’m just saying the reality of how the community is, and if not ilvl they will go by that iO score like in BFA.

i said i was managing the fight just fine, if i had a little more time, it would have died and i was nowhere near dying, but then it felt like he enraged out of nowhere because he started to 2-3 shot the pet, then me: which felt like a enrage timer went off.

Yeah it’s ruining the entire concept of Torghast. Not only do bosses have zero mechanics that actually requires you to use your brain, it’s also just a dps check. I guess it’s like that so every single PvE player can do it as well.

Then farm better gear before you go layer 3, you will have much more dps = boss in layer 3 upper spire won’t get so many stacks before you kill it. Its part of player progression.

without enrage classes like BDK could just kill boss with selfheal?

or healers for that regard. lol

Not sure what kind of “stacks” you mean, i will try notice next time.

Sucks that it seems you cant overcome the challenge with “time and skill”, even with lower than maybe intended gear though.

I dont like the thought of just farming for gear elsewhere and THEN do the Torghast content.

I couldnt care about getting to “higher layers”, just interested in doing the ones i need to “cap” the mats to craft legendary.

if have enrage time how in the world i was able to do it as tank and do enough dps
