Torghast is worse than Islands

Toreghast is literally named “choreghast”

I did the same when i grinded islands for 8 hours, jumped on disc and had fun with a few mates while grinding it out, it is what you make it.

Well it’s all subjective, i am not here to tell you that you’re wrong in liking torghast more, i am saying that i hate torghast more than islands.

All it came down to for me is the time investment needed for a chore, along with some general frustrations with torghast being so RNG heavy.

Islands RNG made the difference, for my team, whether a run was 3 min or 4 min, in torghast if you speedrun it, then RNG can cost you an entire run due to being impossible with the combinations you got.

Im actually dissapointed that 62 people think torghast, a short solo content is worse than islands which was just a big AoE grind which you had to do multiple rounds of in a 3 man group

Heck, pugs even abused that by kicking people!

Guess the biggest difference is that you can’t overgear Torghast.

Magetowers were incredibly easy, if you had the right combination of legendary items, so you always had a chance to complete it, even if you’re not the most able player.

In Torghast, at least right now, no gear is going to help you understand and perform the basics of your spec and pick the right bonus abilities.

Including the smidge of luck needed, to actually get the right spells offered.

This is where Torghast pulls a furlong ahead of islands, the soloability whilst still having grouping as an option.

Perhaps the link to legendaries should be removed from Torghast. I’m doing it for achievements, quests (story) and if my mates are on something we can share (as we are at different stages in different covenants).
Make it purely about cosmetics, transmogs, mounts, pets and achievements (put in some weird achievements - completing without a single death, completing with 0 anima powers collected or with timers as long as they remain optional for achievements).

Had islands had a solo option I might have preferred them but they didn’t so I did hardly any of them.

Meh, Islands forced you to interact with more people…
Good thing if you got friends to do it with, bad thing if not.

Ay least with islands you had the chance to get some fun stuff drop. Borghast is nothing but the worlds most boring dungeon with no pay off at the end.
I was going to try and get my 4 characters through enough for soul ash but honestly I gave up after 1! The legendaries arent worth the loss of time.

@Feylexi. Very different from when I did it years ago. The test lasted an hour, was sat in person (oh, jackhammer outside and very hung over as well, at UCL in London) and the 20 minute online was only to qualify for the actual test.
Maybe your Mensa is different from ours, as in the UK the 2% IQ is 148 (we use a different scale than the USA, their equivalent is 132).
The sitting test is only easy if you have a certain mind set that equates to IQ- It doesn’t measure whether you are any good in real life.
Telling others it’s easy is clearly wrong, and ‘git gud’ is fairly infantile and not what I’d expect from anyone with a decent IQ and any common sense at all…

I agere…
