Kul tirans have the the death theme of druidic magic going on, it’s very cool and it’s current, so the possibilities of lore could go anywhere and be epic.
Night elves are the OG druids, it’s a very iconic class for them (as well as tauren of course, but no interest in playing horde).
The class hall is suited for their image and even their artifacts seem to suit the elves. One of my favourite characters in lore is Broll Bearmane.
I think I’m leaning towards night elves, but would like to see other people’s opinions on the matter, because I keep thinking about the choice
The bear aesthetic is hard for me too, do you like the natural bear look or wicker bear look?
Depends if you want Shadowmeld or not.
Honestly, Shadowmeld is so darn useful as a druid. I sometimes forget that its a Night Elf racial and not a Druid ability.
Everything about the Kul Trian druids looks awesome though and the lore behind them seems very interesting. But for me, it always comes down to, 10 extra skill points isn’t as valuable as Shadowmeld.
Create both of them, check Collections -> Sets, and pick the one that you think looks better. Also check their shape-shifted forms. As far as I know, it should be possible to do this in-game at the barber shop in 9.0, but until then I guess you’ll find screenshots at wowhead.
The KT cat/bear forms look awesome, but I use the ones from Legion anyway. And these will be useable in SL, as you can choose whichever cat/bear form you’d like, independently of weapon transmogs etc.
Which brings me to the aesthetics of the humanoid nelf and KT forms. Here, nelfs win. It’s not even close. And I’m not just talking about the fact that Night Elf is the best looking race in game. The armour sets also look better on nelfs than on KT.
Lastly, the ambience. Night Elf architecture, ships etc are all around in World of Warcraft. Alliance-side, it’s only Human cultural influence which is bigger. So, as a Night Elf, you’ll often feel at home when new towns and cities are introduced, whereas the KT look will (most likely) stay with the current BfA expansion.
