People are toxic in the game that indirectly encourages such behavior. More news at 11.
I think people have became more ‘‘non tolerant’’ during covid times. THats my theory.
And i thought i had a bad dungeon run .

After reading this , I think im a pedantic. (ty for info btw; i’ll just search it more)
ı just found a small comic on internet (never heard it before)which explains ‘‘what a pedantic is like’’ ; the guy who overly concerns himself with minor things’’

When I get kicked from a dungeon, usually it’s from people I don’t enjoy playing with in the first place. So usually they’re doing me a favor.
And when levelling, I just continue doing quests until I can apply for the new dungeon. I wouldn’t go drama king over a silly NM dungeon.
You’re not wrong… but I do think the game design has pushed the playerbase in this direction…
- Personal keys. All the risk is on the owner. The other 4 can freely just walk out of that dungeon without any penalty.
- The Great Vault creates an expectation that we should all be completing a minimum of a +14 every week, ideally 10 of them. The burden of optimising your vault is a solid 7-10 hours in dungeons plus the organisation time required to join those groups.
- Visibility of boosting. Sets the expectation that there will be a lot of players out there with the gear, and even KSM, but no actual skills. Drives us harder towards optimising our groups.
- Lack of automated queue. Because of the points above, manual group building is slow. We are afraid of taking on players who have ‘cheated’ their way into having decent metrics, who will extend our 10 hour commitment by another hour, and who will deplete our keys without any penalty for their own behaviour or failure.
There are a number of incremental changes that could be made with the aim of alleviating this… but that’s not really the topic of discussion ![]()
My point was that the game itself is nudging players towards elitist and toxic behaviour in M+, and that’s chaining down to lower levels. A lot of what we see in normals/heroics is probably stressed M+ puggers who’ve gotten sick of queuing on their mains and started alts instead because at least they can just play the game on an alt.
(TLDR, we really do need automated queues and matchmaking. It will relieve a lot of stress and pressure. We probably need to make tanks+healers relatively strong in dungeons too; let them feel good so people play them!)
Eh, if I’m levelling, I’m probably 100% dungeons and 0% quests, so a kick does annoy me.
Lack of shared expectations. They wanna play the game one way and you wanna play it another way and the LFD system gave you no chance to square that off.
It’s not the people, it’s the system.
This just in: LFD is awful.
Well, I guess you gotta live with it then
I mean, mostly I play healer so they’re very hesitant to kick me.
Only kick I can remember was on my mage. The tank had complained about the healer being terrible, so I’d told him that if he stopped pulling 3 packs plus the boss he might live longer.
What bugs me is that at least 2 other people also voted to kick the person who stood up against the toxic attitude of the tank.
Which does just mean that if I feel like such a situation might recur, I will initiate a vote asap and try to get rid of them before they can get rid of me. It’s likely that nobody checks who is being kicked and everyone will just vote yes without thinking.
Which is definitely a feedback loop. Players become hair-triggered for voting to kick the person most likely to start the vote that will kick them.
Probably one reason pugs are so silent. If you don’t say anything, nobody can dislike you… right?
No, there is absolutely no way to punish these people! They are fully allowed to exist and contaminate the game, and you can see the results! Sadly, you have to either get used to it or play another game… and I HIGLY recommend the latter!
I guess… narcissism would lean more towards sociopath and all these threads seem to be is "3yo cry-baby ‘cos the can’t have a jelly baby’ level.
My take is that a sociopath wouldn’t look to blame others for their misgivings the way a psychopath typically ‘has to’.
It isn’t something many with the trait tend to worry too much about until they start to see a pattern or others start to point it out to them; either by way of assisting them or - more likely - by way of derision.
Well, actually ; when i read on forums before ; i really didnt believe people that could get kicked on normal dungeons ;until it happened to me. I think this is pure evil.
Well pretty true. And lets not forget that getting kicked puts you a 30 min ‘‘debuff’’ as if you were afk in bg lol.
ı literally closed the game after reporting the incident. And went to wash my face. Because i turned red from pure nerd rage; because of issue. ı still can’t believe how impatient people can be .
Then i came to forums to explain my experience about the issue. And see if it happens to other players too. ıt seems pretty common. (which is bad imo)

Thankfully, my cousin returned to game again. So i forgot my daily rages that happen in my day-to day routine. So i guess im ok for now.
ım very talkative or very silent. Depending on the location, people and time. Im a forum caterpillar so i share my experience and ideas about wow from time to time in forums.
I’ve been called by some ‘‘silent as ninja’’ or ‘‘mouthy’’ depending on people. Both of them barely understood me. Except this forum :
Im a pedantic yaaaayy lol.
*welcome to self psychology diagnose tool; wow forums
The majority are usually sheep that see a button and press it and don’t process the information at hand.
Thats the point the OP is making…
4 same mindset people met in one group, thats kinda sad story.
I got kicked the other day but it was entirely my fault. I hadn’t realised that I needed that my pet was making a mess of things on Surgeon Stitchflesh. Unfortunately we were mid fight and there was no time to explain what I was doing wrong whilst also trying to down the Boss. If I had actually said that I didn’t know the fight beforehand rather than relying on picking it up as I went along the group would have explained about moving pets so they weren’t in the way of meathook when it was cast.
The kick was entirely justified.
It’s how the system works. It can’t be helped. If you don’t want it to happen, don’t use the LFD system. ![]()
That’s what I do. I detest it.
I have said it over and over again RIO and other addons are not the issue with mythics, the issues are the players and their attitudes.
Lets say the majority are sheep, then the majority is still right. If the majority deems this as being right,i know it’s hard to grasp but for something to be right in general it just requires a majority that’s what makes it right or wrong. Just irl examples could be how people behave in certain countries such as india, west Taiwan or the middle eastern we keep saying it’s bad but the majority there doesn’t believe so. That’s life pretty much .
It’s hard to see why isn’t it…
What with go-go-go Mythic+ and now they’re trying AGAIN to put some kind of timed incentive in Torghast. Race-race-race because it’s how the cool kids play.
I also don’t get why everything has to go at a million miles per hour these days, but sadly for me that just seems to be the dominant ‘right way’ to play games.
Sorry to hear that but no its not.
???
You don’t need to rush in m+ to time it
You don’t need to time it at all and you will get free GEAR
WHAT DO YOU WANT? normal /hc/ mythic 0 dungeon and buy a mythic lvl gear?
If you don’t like the timer Turn it off with and don’t look at it
There is a classic for this mentality …you can play 25 days one dungeon if you really want
and soon there will be a TBC for that so you can play HC dungeons for 30 days if you want
Do you understand that longer doesn’t mean FUN?
and we live in world where you need to spend your time carefully
even in games
no one wants to be in WOW for 5 hours doing 3 dungeons
