Trade chat and guilds spam

I’m genuinely clueless, isn’t trade chat supposed to be for trades and not people spamming 5 lines text blocks about their guild? Can I report those people?

I think Trade Chat is supposed to be for Advertising anything, guilds, boosts, trades and what-not.
It could have been called the Spam channel just as easily. It’s purpose is to take such chat out of General so the toxicity and racism had more space to flourish free from all those ads.

Ah ok, try to post boost ads in trade chat and see what happens to your account OP is correct: the Trade chat is not meant for guild advertising. There is actually a tool in the game called guild-finder

Boosts are not suppose to be in the trade channel, but in the trade services channel.

I /leace on General, Trade and Services so perhaps I’m not the most informed of posters and probably shouldn’t have thrown in my 2p worth…

trade service is for boosts. Trade itself is for professions, or to sell things like BOEs. Guilds should be advertised elsewhere, but I have to admit: Guild Finder is horribly implemented by Blizzard, since there are way too many dead guilds on the pages.
