Can someone please do something about trade chat. It’s just nothing but boost spam, either buying or selling this is seriously hampering my ability to use trade chat to acctually, you know… TRADE STUFF!!!

Creating a collective thread where people demand a separate channel would be a starter.
Boosting is a trade of gold from the buyer for the time of the boosters. They are in the right place.
Most of us either use addons or hide/leave the channel.

I am 100% for creating a Booster chat, and an ignore option for accounts.
On my day off this account a rogue was spamming from 8 in the morning till 12 in the evening, i logged in like 4 times that day, maby more, it was always there just spamming over and over again
for hours on end
i reported them obviously but a day later, there they where
- Create a Booster Service channel
- Allow the ignoring of entire accounts instead of player names.

The ignore stuff would only work if we’d have an infinite (or at least much bigger) ignore list. 25 ignorable accounts is still nothing.
OTOH, solutions already exist: leaving Trade, or installing BadBoy. I haven’t seen an advert in months.
But Argent Dawn doesn’t really get that many. Silvermoon and Draenor are nightmares because for some reason they keep changing their adverts that get past badboy filters… I say for some reason, because someone who has installed that addon probably doesn’t have any interest in them in the first place.
I usually agree with a lot of what you say, but when you have half a dozen people from the same boost community advertising the exact same thing, which in effect means it’s wall to wall them, then whether the service is legal or not (and not all of it is since they’re not all for gold) it’s borderline abusing the channel flooding restrictions.
Thankfully I do have addons which mitigate some of it and trade is on another tab, but the problem isn’t so much what I see it’s what others see for those who actually want to use trade for something other than boosting.
Advertising again and again asking others, buy your stuff… is what they are doing too

I have a char on Draenor horde. Haven’t seen an ad there in ages, either. Just blacklist all the community names, and M+, and you’re pretty much good to go.
I have long given up on Trade myself. Not that I actually miss it. There was never really much trade in the trade channel. I certainly don’t miss the dirge, bottom related and thunderfury spam.
The problem is that lockouts changed and mythic plus is endlessly spammable. this has create a climate of sell everything for gold. They can continually go and do the content over and over and over. There is also no aspect of wow other players wont sell.
I think boosting isn’t going away and I’m not sure they’ll differentiate it from other trades. I also don’t think they are going to change lockouts back to how they used to work. A chat channel that behaves like trade but no trades are allowed might help as long as it wasn’t taken over by people trying to sell things.
We get as many as any other high-pop server, we just have actual people talking as well so it looks and feels like less spam overall.
The problem is, when it comes to raiding and M+, People with Higher ilevel and RIO score = will get a place over you. It is especially male cow excrement if they can buy all the gear and RIO score with real money
This has always been the case. Now its IO score, back then it was Gearscore. Or just simple link achiv during legion. All of which could have been boosted.
For normal keys one is better off with a guild group and for high pushing youre better off with a group from the mythic+ discord.
Can we all /join RealTrade for doing actual trading?
Simply separate the trade chat in a different window. Voila, no spam. End of story. Case closed.
Also trading stuff is best done through the AH
