Dear blizzard we have tried to reach about this situation via tickets several times.
We have sent everything u needed to take an action, screenshots and all.
Because of your current report system some players heavily effected including crafters in trade chat with many other.
There has been reporting exploit going on almost for 2 weeks now. There is two boosting communities taking over Trade/Services chat by themselves and not allowing anyone else to do anything.
When you post something even if its on Trade chat and not services u get silenced in 5 minutes. They are mass reporting people to make more profit for themselves. These people using your player GUID to report you via addon/script/bot. Even if you are offline they are able to report you because of GUID. They are also tracking the people they are silencing and reporting them before their silences appealed.
I hope that you will see this post and take an action. I can share the boosting community names with their discord if its taken seriously from your side since u were only giving us Automated ticket answers.
Trade and services chat is an unmoderatable mess and will always be impossible to police because alt accounts can be used to spam report competition, so the real sellers can avoid consequences of unwarranted reporting completely.
The privilege to report should belong only to level capped characters so potential abuse can be tracked more easily and the number of messages should be more heavily limited to prevent spam.
Chat reports are only taken ingame. Tickets aren’t accepted for these and screenshots will not be accepted into evidence as they can be easily edited. I see you’ve also mentioned discords but thats outside Blizzard domain and they will not take any proof that may be gotten from those areas either.

I fail to see why crafters are affected by boosters. They’re not even in the same competition field.
This was fixed some while ago, if you’ve more information you can submit a report through Hacks@Blizzard.com instead. It’s quite vague you’re pointing in the general direction of an “addon/script/bot”. Do you have anything concrete?
A chat report will not have any effect on a player who is already under a Squelch or Silence as they obviously cannot chat. They’re also unable to divulge whether they are actually penalised with one or in the progress of appealing against one.
That means if I, the max level capped character would abuse you, a level 1 toon you wouldn’t be able to report me. This might yet be one of your least thinked through suggestions of the entire list.

Indeed no one is posting boosting services in trade chat.

It is not a hearsay there is lots of people got effected by that and i’ve already sent detailed email to hacks@blizzard.com last week with proof and all.

There is a glitch otherwise they wouldn’t be able to do that they register the player GUID, realm, faction and stamp time when they silence you, and do it again after 7 daysmaking the account stuck in silence loop.
I know trade/services chats are different its not a ME issue and your GUID is not fixed they have found a way to use it again obviously and u have no idea what is going on with your ingame chat. And we have sent proof already to that mail adress u have mentioned on top of that nothing happened. I just want support to check the issue completely and see yourself.
This is true. The advertisement team in service chat is storing the player GUIDs, realm, faction and the time that they report you. My accounts are stuck in a silence loop since the first silence.
Cross Realm Report did get fixed in the past, but now they are doing report waves every day for the stored GUIDs of each realm/faction to keep all players trying to get into service chat to advertise out of the market.
Literally a mafia in the game. This has to be fixed ASAP.
I’m speaking in context of trade chat and if someone writes something stupid other 1000 players can and will probably report you in their stead. Similarly if you throttle the messages you can get rid of the spam report abuse.
Alternatively reporting could require a max level achievement on the account as a method of combating bots and other suspicious users. Reporting en masse without any accountability should not be possible.
Spam category can safely be assumed to be completely automated and silences trigger after exceeding certain thresholds, so improving this would free a lot of time for real in-person abuse review of actual abusive chat.
While a good percentage of falsely handed out suspensions will get overturned, there’s a decent number of cases which will take several tickets before they are properly resolved.
In other words, a lot of lost time which you won’t get back.
I understand your frustrations but I warmly suggest you remove the names out of respect for naming and shaming rules, otherwise you’ll get in trouble once the moderator wakes up.
