The objectives which you at one point shift-clicked to track, but never completed despite having collected all rewards by now, keep reappearing on the screen with no player input for of all your characters at random. If I shift-click them again to remove tracking, they will pop up again after relogging, changing zone or instance. This is getting annoying, it’s like a game of whacamole.
It’s not even about making progress with a specific task which makes it show up again, such as 0/8 dragonraces.

Could you try deactivating all your addons and see how it goes? If the issue persists, a full reset may be necessary:
I couldn’t find a way to get rid of it other than completing the objective (or waiting until the end of month).
It was only the 8x dragonracing task and others didn’t give me any trouble.
I have (almost) the same problem: A couple of months ago, I tracked some objective from the trade post and since then they reappear every month and even deactivating them on one character does not stop them to reappear on another character.
Even more annoying: They seem to count against the number of achievements you can track. I frequently get the message “You may only track 10 acchievements at a time” although I have only tracked 3 on my screen.
Have you tried resetting your UI as linked above? If it still doesn’t work after that, then all you can really do is report it as a bug ingame clearly explaining when and why it happens. From the the blue reply, it sounds like it’s not something a GM can fix.

Others have found clearing the cache resolves the issue with things tracking.
Ticket turnaround time is around a week, so you could try this and if it resolves your issue you can just cancel your ticket.
