Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found

I’ve been getting by this issue since 11.1 launched and I’m yet to find a solution to it. I mostly coped with it by re-entering the dungeons/zones/raid/delves after each error, but recently I’ve also got this error when trying to enter an RBG Blitz, resulting in me being a no-show, my team probably losing the match and me losing rating.

What I’ve done so far:

  • Disabled every addon for a week, issue persisted
  • Reinstalled WoW from scratch including deleting the WTF and Addons folders
  • Went through my registry and deleted every entry related to WoW
  • Played an alt in case it’s somehow related to my character
  • Replaced my network cable and checked with my ISP, who saw no connection drops or latency spikes on their end, something I also didn’t notice in other apps or while using streaming services
  • Disabled other apps while playing WoW

I’m eager to learn what helped resolve this for others as I feel like I exhausted every option and I’m rather vehemently against playing russian roulette in rated PvP content because this game fails to connect my character to another instance randomly.

Addons-wise I use Plater, TotalRP3, Details!, RIO and SimCraft. I’ll repeat that this issue persisted despite me disabling every addon, so I doubt they are causing this, particularly as I haven’t changed my Addon list since launch.

Thanks for any meaningful responses in advance.

Hi!

I once suffered about the same issue (during Dragonflight) and I managed to resolve it by following these instructions on Battle.net:

Resetting the WoW User Interface - Blizzard Support

Especially: Rename the Cache, Interface, and WTF folders to CacheOld, InterfaceOld, and WTFOld. After that re-launch the game. World of Warcraft will then automatically create new folders, resetting whole UI.

Let me know if it worked.

It didn’t sadly. As I mentioned I not only did a full cleanup of my WoW folder (deleting the folders you mentioned as well) but also played through a week without using addons to unfortunately get the same results.

In that case it could be a connection issue:

Transfer Aborted: Instance Not Found - Blizzard Support

Blizzard has published troubleshooting guide for such issues: Connection Troubleshooting - Blizzard Support

You said that you have replaced your network cable. That’s a start for sure. Maybe give those steps a try and let me know if it worked.

This might be a network issue. Probably on your side. I suggest to make a test using your mobile internet (tethering) or use a VPN. This will change routing between you and Blizzard servers. If there will be no transfer aborted errors when you change your internet you should open a ticket and contact your local internet provider.
