Good morning gentlemen, as so many people have already requested this, I’m another one to bring up the topic.
I would like to ask your attention to the transfer of characters between regions, the world is growing, people are immigrating, the world is growing, the only thing that hasn’t changed yet is not being able to do this type of transfer between regions, I ask Kindly look into this case, many people would like this type of service to be possible.

The thing is, IT IS possible for them to do, they just don’t want too.
They once said it wasn’t possible to technical restrictions, but that was a few years into the release of WoW. But now the hardware isn’t the issue anymore. The client information and database structure for the logs/character data etc, is exactly 100% identical.
They have the systems in place already for transfers etc. They just need to add the lines of code and test the feature of moving a character from region x to region y.
They could even change over 50euros for the process and some people will use it and it’s not going to cost them any manpower.
Blizzard just being Blizzard… “You think you do, but you don’t!”.

The US game & the EU game have differences because of various laws (eg the removal of some of the brewfest quests in the EU). I also think the age limits are different - 12 in the EU and 13 in the US. Possibly other technical things.
Really? I know certain countries have wierd limitations like no skeletons showing in I think china on undead but didn’t know there were any such restrictions in eu? Figured we were more progressed then that 
I don’t remember the details of the top of my head, but there are some quests that are against EU gambling laws. If you want to know exactly how or what you can look it up on Wowhead.
But you can swap regions, no?
You just have to be a resident of another region and send proof to Blizz, so that they can verify it and change your region to a new one.

I think it’s just a matter of investment vs profit in this particular case. Even though it’s slightly more complex compared to inter region transfers, they would have to provide support for such a service, which could require the involvement of teams from both regions, making it even more complex.
From a profit perspective, i doubt there would be sufficient demand for such a service to justify all the investment.
Those don’t play videogames, silly. 
You can play on US realms but you have to add a US starter account to your bnet, then buy another sub, and the expansion again. You start from scratch as if you were a new player to the game.
It is not possible to transfer regions. You can, however, change your registered address which will allow you to pay in your local currency.
Whether or not they’ll ever change this at some point in the future, I don’t know. So far it’s not been something they’ve wanted to offer for whatever reasons. As Ananda mentioned the game versions US vs EU are slightly different. I’m sure there are probably some differences with the Far East versions too.

I thought that if I swap from, let’s say, Britain to Turkey, that would be a region change. Seems like it’s not.
