Hi there, ever since prepatch ive been going around old raids for transmog collecting, and it seems to be broken, some pieces of old tier sets are collectible while others are not, and it seems to be every inconsistent. An example of which is I got the DK helmet from nighthold to drop, however once i picked it up the appearance is not collected, while the warrior chest piece, DK legs etc appearance are collected. To my understanding, regardless of the type of armor or weapon everything should be collectible now unless its class specific, anyone else have the same issue?

Hopefully this is the issue:
Your Warrior can collect specific Warrior items and non-class bound items from any other class. For example: The Warrior can learn all warrior gear and non-class bound DK gear, such as the legs, but if the helmet says “Death Knight” on it you must send it to a Death Knight for them to learn it and be part of your mog collection.

The legion class sets can only be learned by the specific class. They said that in an interview. I will still hold on those that i hoarded for a bit more, maybe they will change their mind or work the some of the technical difficulties they encountered in the process. one never knows

Yes but you can mail them to those classes.
Edit: Seems this isn’t the case everywhere and I am unsure if it is a bug or not. It works for class tokens at least.
the tokens yeah. they are warbound. i think this is intended.

Thanks for the replies guys, unfortunately all the mogs dropped are soulbound so Im just going to keep it in my bag until blizz changes their mind
