Just wondering when the transmog class restrictions were being removed as I just ran The Nighthold on my DK and the loot for rogue, shaman, pally etc. hasn’t appeared on ALTS !
Wasn’t this due in patch 11.0.5 ?
Were you in a group so the items still have a 2 hour trade window?
Have you tried mogging one of the items and seeing if that adds it to your wardrobe?
And do you need to send the items to the alts in order for them to learn them?
You learn the tmog when you vendor the item, they can’t be sent to ALTS and I was solo at the time
I know this is true of Grey items, wasn’t sure about older raid items.
I’ve not tried running an old raid for mogs (I’m running Dragon Soul several times a week for a mount but I have all the mogs it’s possible to get from there).
As far as I know, you can’t send the items as they’re soulbound but as soon as you drop them the appearance is unlocked, even if it’s for other classes. This has been working for me. I have unlocked many sets for my plate-wearers whilst running Antorus/Nighthold/SL raids on cloth-wearers.
Yes, they unlock as soon as they drop but it doesn’t seem to work for class restricted items…
i.e. if an item can be worn by DH only and not other leather wearing classes, I thought this restriction was being removed
So long as there is a trading countdown on an item it wont be added to your wardrobe.
This goes for vendor gear as well.

There is no class restriction on collecting transmogs, i got the Legendary bow on Sylvanas after soloing her on my Warrior a couple of days ago, Sylvanas bow can only be equipped on Hunters, and i unlocked the transmog through recieving it on my Warrior.
Just been into the wow in-game support and it states…
An item will only show up in your Wardrobe and be usable for transmogrification if:
Your character was able to equip the original item.
- A druid wouldn’t be able to unlock the appearance of an item that was rogue specific, even if the item was leather.
So, we still need to run on multiple ALTS to collect ALL TMOGS 
Yeah, this should definitely be unlocking the appearance. Those are exactly the items that I’ve been unlocking on other classes in the last couple of weeks… I think.
Having said that, I do remember dropping the warrior cape in ToS and it didn’t unlock for my DK/Paladin even though they can also equip the appearance. I think I know what you mean now.
One thing I am curious about - does this mean that like, I could drop Tusks of Mannoroth on a hunter or Scythe of the Unmaker on my warlock?
If an item is CLASS Specific like this…
Then it will not unlock on other classes !
“Requires hunter” yet i got the Transmog on a warrior. I cant use the apperance on my warrior, but i unlocked the apperance by obtaining it on my warrior.

Might be different for LEGGOS but I am definitely not unlocking rogue armour on my DK
I’ve unlocked the full DK Antorus set on my warlock now…
Checked last night and for me it is definitely unlocking class-restricted legacy transmogs for other classes.
Strange how it’s not working for me and according to the article below, that’s how it is intended so not sure why it works for you
