Transmog in cata, which type?

i know cata will have transmog but which type will it be?

will it be the new transmog type that the new war within will have where any class can wear any transmog even if you cant equip it? or will cata just have the normal transmog?

I think you misunderstood how Transmog will work with warbands. It will not be as you think that anyone can use any transmog but that anyone can gain every transmog so that others who can use it can mog it. Like if you do a legacy raid with your plate user and a cloth piece drops. It will now be added to the transmog list even if you cant use it but only your cloth users can mog it.

I wish it did. But it doesn’t.
Or do you have some source to share with us that confirms this?

Thats not how it works. You can LEARN any apperance on any class, doesnt mean you can transmog it. Armor rules still apply to transmog.

ok i understand now, so will this be in just war within or cata as well?

As far as i understand, they will make a transmog collection in Cataclysm Classic, so you dont have to stash the actual items in your bank, like you did in the original Cataclysm. Obtaining apperances will most likely work the way they do now in current retail, with the armor type restrictions.
