Transmog issue

i have recently come across an issue when it comes to transmog.

Blizz realeased the prepatch of SL allowing us to mog on any spec of our artifacts, now we cant do that anymore. I want to know why is it turned back on to be strickted to specs? Antifun policing mucth Blizzard?

You promised we can use any artifact skin as a mog reguardless of our specs. Then not to mention on human male models the moonpriestes shas is invisible still this hase been an issue sience BFA. Would you be so kind please fix thiese issues? thank you!

I can still mog any skin. Have you gone under what they actual are instead of just “Legion Artifacts”? For example if I want the BDK weapon it’s under 2H Axe, Unholy is under 2H Sword etc.

i do. i have a wand and i was able to mog it to any mage artifact skin that i have collected from legion if i am on arcane spec i can only use arcane artifact skins and if i want to change the look to forst staff Now it says it requers forst specification, and not just for wands, but also for staffs. it is on arathor realm.

Pretty sure you can’t mog a 1h to a 2h…

If it is spec specific you can.

For example, take a holy paladin, they can mog their 1 handers to their artifact weapons. However for all other weapons across specs it goes like.

Your two hander can be transmogged to another specs two hander, but it must be a two hander, etc.

And for example, a frost mage that has a 1 hander can transmog it to Felo’melorn, but if that frost mage has a staff, he can only transmog it to Arcane staff or frost staff.

What you can and cannot do mogwise with artifact skins Artifact Transmog in Shadowlands - New Creative Weapon Combinations - Wowhead News

then why i can mog my wand to a staff? and i cant mog ther rest of the artifacts ? i am confused…

You can, my prot pala uses Ashbringer, my BDK uses 2 frost swords. For some specs some artifacts do not work it seems though, when I tmoged 2h into prot pala artifact in ret, I could not use some spells. At the same time enh with elem shield works perfectly.

I think wand was an exception even back in BfA, because of the auto attack.

I checked wand, you can tmog into artifacts from other specs.

That is how you can do this.

accept that i cant mog my wand into a forst staff on arcane spec so its broken.

So apparently you should be able to, so if you are not able I’d suggest contacting CS:

Btw, according to the article, there’s a known bug with it after you change covenant.

Because that is your specs staff.

Listen Blizz said that you can mog your artifact skin on your weapon without spec restrictions. Thats a direct qoute from SL prepatch.

Yes, without SPEC restrictions. not without WEAPON restrictions.

OP, have an example.

My Holy Paladin has a One Hand/Shield duo equipped as standard at her level. She can have Truthguard and Oathseeker as Transmog options - and these are given to Protection Paladins.

Her Holy Artifact is the Silver Hand, which WoWHead states is a Two-Hander. Despite having only a One-Hand sword, she has the Silver Hand Mace as an option. Her Shield disappears when I apply it as my Transmog.

She has no other Two-Hand sword option in the dropdown, meaning she cannot have the Ashbringer (Retribution Paladin Artifact) as a Transmog.

If I respec to Retribution, this happens:

The Ashbringer is now an available option, but the Silver Hand is gone from the Legion Artifacts section.

To sum up - Artifacts of specializations outside of your current one will show up only under the regular Weapon options, which accordingly appear and disappear based on the Weapon/Offhand you are using. The Legion Artifacts section is reserved for the Artifact appearances of your current specialization only, and these are unrestricted.
