Why are weapon transmog rules so weird for cloth classes
Hello guys, I’m a priest main, and honestly… I don’t get why the transmog system is still so restrictive when it comes to weapons.
Why can’t I mog my staff into a dagger, a mace, or even a wand — all of which priests can use? I’ve worked hard collecting these appearances, but I’m stuck just because of some arbitrary weapon-type rule? That feels unfair.
What’s the point of having these appearances if we can’t actually use them the way we want?
And let’s be real — cloth classes like priests, mages, and warlocks already get the shortest end of the stick when it comes to weapon variety. Meanwhile, classes like warriors or dracthyrs get access to many kinds of weapon types and awesome mog options.
Please, Blizzard, let us mog any weapon type our class can use! It would mean so much for customization and creativity.
Wands can be used for ranged magical attacks, staffs have a slow attack time and animation, daggers on the other hand are pretty fast and can be held in one hand.
Those things might not be something important for you, but from a technical perspective, they have some limitations.
When you use a staff, you can tmog it to a polearm because they both share animations. Same thing with one handers, or wands by themselves. The limitation is that the weapons must use the animation that their attack uses.
I thought that priests are restricted from using weapons with sharp edges or pointy ends, mostly see blunt weapons like staves or maces for bludgeoning
This season’s sets have been done before in concept form, so they don’t fit the goblin theme.
But the weapons are new in goblin style.
I would really like different weapons from pvp and pve sets this season.
still waiting for blizz to let fury warriors mog 2handers into 1handers, idk why it has to take years upon years for small changes like this, its very frustrating.
We can already Transmog our Wands into Daggers, Swords, etc. which just results in the game giving us an error “Can’t use that ability with this weapon type.” if we try to use Shoot Wand.
We can technically also transmog our Staff into a Dagger and Offhand by picking a Legion Artifact. So I honestly don’t believe there are any technical challenges and blizzard could do it, if they wanted.
And while we’re at it, please allow Fury Warriors to Transmog their 2H’s into 1H’s
