When unlocking Straw Hats from The Tillers, and you buy a leather Straw Hat you do not unlock it as transmog

Did you unlock it as a “leather” user? You can only unlock transmogs for items your character can use
yes, i bought the leather head item on my monk, it says “you haven’t collected this appearance” even when wearing it
Same story for me on my monk. Bought the leather version of the Straw Hat and equipped it. But says “You havn’t collected this apperance” and won’t transmog.
Hope they fix this, had been looking forward to wearing the hat after the farm to get it!
It’s because they are white quality items, you only get transmogs for green+ quality items.
Straw Hats are an exception as they were able to be used for transmog in original MoP, that’s why there is one for each armor type
multiple people on wowhead said that you will unlock this as transmog when you buy it even though its a Common quality item.
i’ll take a look at it myself when i get to exalted and make a proper bug report for that one if it’s really as you say, and it’s not yet reported, or you can just do it yourself (i’d recommend via mop-classic bugs github, blizz react to that one very fast usually, especially during weekdays)
