So i was doing dungeons with some friends while leveling up, and my tank did not get dispelled and otheres did when we got feared/charmed.
He then said “Maybe its because of pvp i activated it last night”
I then said that i should not matter. ( I dont remember if it was like that back then)
Turns out it does matter. Is this a bug? i dont think if you have pvp on or off should matter on the tremor totem?
If anyone else runs into this problem tell the party to turn on or off.
Yeah, the PvP tag in dungeons is bugged currently.
You’ll need to enable PvP(Even if you’re on a PvP server) to heal/buff etc people with AoE abilities, even though you’ve already got PvP on… provided that your other party members have PvP on that is.
Tremor doesn’t work like in Retail. If a tick just …ticked and your tank immediately got feared afterwards, he will not get … “unfeared”. All totems works like this … with ticks.
Tremor totem pulses, it does not constantly remove fear, think of a stone dropping in a pond. When it pulses, not sure of the interval, its debuff removal moves from the totem outward in a wave. Tremor totem is better used for a direction you expect to go, ie death coil or psychic scream sends you backwards from your travel direction, so you need to drop it behind you. It can happen that you completely miss a pulse wave and never get fear debuff, but if you learn how to drop the totem to anticipate fear direction the odds get lower.
Also doesn’t work on fears classed as horror effects An example of this in pve is Fen ray in underbog it’s fear is classed as horror effect so tremor don’t work in PvP you get spells like death coil or howl of terror which are also don’t get effected by tremor.
As others said it ticks for its dispel feature so if a player is out of range or gets effected by fear just after the tick won’t have their fear broken unconfirmed but latency might also be a factor as someone with a faster connection will register the fear slightly faster than another which could also be why some get dispeled
