I have an itemization idea to create some more extra flavour and agency for every class.
What if we had instead of 2 trinkets we could equip 4 trinkets.
To reduce overall complexity and combat the powercreep that people stack 4 dmg trinkets or 4 defensive trinkets I thought about the following:
You can only choose 2 dmg trinkets and 2 defensive trinkets.
You only can choose 2 active trinkets and 2 passive trinkets.
dmg and active trinket slots can only hold 1 active and 1 passive trinket
So it would look like this:
Slot 1 active dmg trinket
Slot 2 passive dmg trinket
Slot 3 active def trinket
Slot 4 passive def trinket
Because we just added 2 extra trinket slots to the character sheet we could combine the following gear slots;
Head and Shoulder (like in diablo 4)
Hands and Wrists
Obviously some details need to get worked out to make up for missing main stats and also transmog needs to be looked at so all your old mogs still work.
What do you guys think? Bad idea, interesting idea or good idea let me know!
Also: I couldnāt care less about defensive trinkets, honestly.
I want them to do more transmog slots, not less. I want the neck slot to be transmog-able (we have some stuff thatās now under the head slot, but clearly is a neck piece). I want a āfaceā slot because why canāt I wear glasses and a hat? Yeah I know Iām doing that right now in my transmog, but thatās one piece that I canāt swap individually.
So, sorry but this goes on the ābad ideaā pile for me.
I think 2 slots are already too many, i think there should be only 1 trinket slot and all trinkets should have a āuseā ability.
All the passive things can be moved to a different slot, like helm or amulet
