So, I’ve dinged 30 on my Troll, and I like some of the racials, but I get this nagging feeling that I might be missing out on what a BElf offers.
I’m aware 3% mana return in AT isn’t exactly something to shout about, but it could serve well in clutch OoM situations. That AoE purge for high keys sounds beautiful, too.
I will say, I do prefer the Troll aesthetic, but I’m aware that doesn’t get you optimal performance, which is ultimately what I’m after.
Any experiences or thoughts appreciated.
bloodelf for purge agree.
The difference is super small.. play what you think looks best.
The difference is negligible. However belf is better racial for MW no question there. You get 1% crit which is MWs best stat aswell as arcane torrent.
But since all racials are within like 1% of each other in performance from worst to best, you should play whatever you want.

Ye racials used to be wide apart but lately just pick w/e you gonna enjoy looking at, because it's not worth playing through the pain just because a race has this one racial that puts you 1% ahead of another.
On the other hand, the farther you get with content, the more these "little" things or min/maxing matter. The 1% crit could mean that you complete high level key in time but if you don't plan to push for that, then i suggest you follow this simple sentence:

I would pick troll monk, tbh. Looks more bad*ss. Elfis are too generic.
Thanks for your input guys. I ultimately decided to stay with the troll. That crit and purge is great, but I’m really enjoying the Troll lore and general feel of the character.
I do wish Berzerk felt more impactful, but it’s good for what it is.
