On the winds, the spirits speak of a tribe gathering; A united effort to bring about the rise of all of the Trolls. Grudges put to rest, old rivalries needless, for the ascension of the Pact is absolute.
The Pact:
Through the path of united kinship, the Tribe was formed out of the Battle of Dazar’Alor where the founding members were brought together in a time of strife and pain for the tribes as the Golden City was sacked by the Alliance. Meeting once again as new shores were found by the world and the Primalist threat arose, the trolls stirred. A Pact was struck, with each member carving a scar upon them to identify themselves as one of the Whitescar, permanently showing their allegiance to the Tribe, their kin and the Troll people.
In reverence of the deep connection to their Loa, appeasing the spirits and striking out for the long-awaited resurgence in Troll power, the Pact aims on setting out to aid all of their peoples across the world of Azeroth. The tribe never digs its roots deep, setting sail for new shores where the threats arise, where the spirits whisper with fury and fervour. Learning of the different cultures and growing strong ties across the continents, the Whitescar continue to find new allies and form fresh bonds.
The Tribe:
Having an already established number representing the different major tribes of the Trolls, the Pact welcomes all who have stood for Zandalar and their people; Amani, Drakkari, Gurubashi, Farraki. The once united have come together again in alliance with the Zandalari Empire and their new-found membership in the Horde, the Darkspear, alongside the lesser tribes such as the Revantusk, Bloodscalp, etc. All are welcome with the Tribe, so long as they stand for the message of the Whitescar Pact.
All walks of life are accepted, so long as they agree with troll custom. Necromancers, demon cultists and Old God worshippers are enemies of the Trolls and will be treated as such as an affront to the Loa.
Only the scorned by all Loa and betrayers to their kin, alongside those who are part of the Naz’mani, the Blood Trolls, are not accepted amongst the Pact, for they have proven to be against the mission of what the Tribe has set out to achieve.
OOC Information:
The Goal of the Whitescar Pact is to form bonds for Troll RP, both in and out of guild, on the server and provide a place for all passionate Troll RPers to enjoy. We set out to be a very active community that can be seen around the World and not be set to one place, so expect to see us in very troll related zones such as Stranglethorn, Hinterlands, Zul’Drak and Zandalar. We can also be found in Orgrimmar, where the Pact seeks refuge under the token of the Zandalari and Darkspear tribe.
In terms of events, we aim to hit a varied selection:
- Major combat events and campaigns with a shared roll system.
- Ceremony and Loa worship, allowing many to express how they perceive their chosen Loa.
- Investigation and exploration events, where the Guild and friends are given chance to take in what the troll settlements would be like and come to understand the culture with a relaxed view on interaction, using these events to facilitate casual roleplay in one setting.
We may in future look toward trying to host more server-wide events in places like Dazar’Alor or the Echo Isles, where outsiders of the Horde races would be more welcome.
What we offer:
We offer a safe place for free interpretation in troll roleplay, with members themselves being given a chance to freely post through our discord their take on the Loa, particularly those that have very little lore-wise written about them, while offering help, feedback and advice on how to best put those ideas into roleplay. We make it our goal that every member should feel comfortable RPing how they wish, so long as it does not break any rules.
Secondly, we are moving to explore the true fundamentals of tribal roleplay; ceremony, rituals, less of a ranked structure and an extended family for your character to potentially become a part of. While tribal life can be harsh and not without risk, the Pact is at the end of the day, a family. Those who seek to harm the family can and may be punished.
In addition, we offer a safespace for friends to relax and feel secure without the major pressure of outside presence damaging the ability to freely express themselves. We hope everyone here will be friends OOC, even if IC matters cause small rivalry and contests between characters for respect and power.
We ask that any that wish to join come with:
-
Acceptance of roleplay and interpretation.
-
Follow both IC and OOC rules that we express very quickly when someone shows interest: No meta-gaming, drama, harassment, the usual red flags.
-
Be respectful and mindful of people’s IRL situations and views.
-
If any long-term absence is to be taken (More than 1 month) we greatly appreciate a small piece of communication which will help us be within the know. People are free to live their own lives, but to avoid a kick or worried messages, letting one of the officers or members know of an extended absence is all we ask.
How to get involved:
We as a guild run on a structure of no ‘recruitment hunting.’ While we move to hang around hubs for roleplay after each campaign so we can meet new friends and show our face in the major cities of Orgrimmar and Dazar’Alor, we do not invite people in on their first few words of interest.
Taking a stance to both avoid drama / problems for our current membership and to see how people settle in with us both IC and OOCly, we take a trial focus:
-
Firstly, we would like to roleplay with you for an extended time period, where if we want to see more, you will be invited along to events, casual roleplay and our next travel location. This is expected to be done in the major hub and give both us and the interested players a chance to see us and size us up for whether we both would work well together.
-
Secondly, the character would travel with the Pact as an ally, proving their IC value to the tribe itself through both casual roleplay and events. We don’t expect constant attendance, but interest and aim to participate is something that definitely goes a long way. The character would be afforded the protection and friendship of the Pact while the trolls and us OOC weigh up whether the character serves best in the guild after chance of watching them in RP action.
-
Thirdly and finally, we will keep clear communication of how things are progressing and what we would like to see from you yourself and offer a chance for feedback on what we can work on. From the point we are satisfied with participation IC and friendship with you OOCly, we will extend an invite to the guild and shortly afterwards, to join our discord!
If you are interested in the guild or just want to hang out without interest in joining us, we are very welcome to walk-ups when in Orgrimmar and Dazar’Alor.
If you see us elsewhere and are interested in meeting with us ICly, or want to know when we are next in town, do contact one of the team in-game:
- Whitescarred, Deathspeak, Zijira and Tazdili.
We hope to see you around and Spirits be with you, mon!
