Troll vs Tauren racials

I like how Taurens look, trolls are ugly for me :smiley:
I want to play resto druid, i hear troll racials are better for resto but my question is: are racials really make differences in healing? I want to play PVE and a bit PVP.

For PvE play what ever you think looks better.

Play what ever race you want it is the best way to play.
Racials are tiny.

Racials have been nerfed quite substantially over time, however the only relevant ones for Druid afaik is Shadowmeld in high m+ keys and Berserking in Mythic raiding. War Stomp is pretty good in PvP though.

Berserking is more of a Moonkin thing tho, I’m not sure if it’s a big deal for Resto. You may wanna look up specifics on the wowhead/icy veins guide(s), but unless your intent is to minmax end content you should really take the race you like the most.

They actually do, if I were horde, I’d be a troll without a question.

Unless you are a cutting edge player with desire to be among the best druids in the world, racials are not important. Play what race you enjoy.

Im afraid nothing can beat troll racial in boomy/Rdruud.
Berserking is kinda huge for both of them.

No NO NO it is not a huge thing at all it is tiny it does not matter.
what so ever for anyone but the top 1-5 guilds in the world for pve content.
And even they do not do it for the dps but for the utility.

It adds about 1%-1.3% throughput which for all intents and purposes is negligible unless he is a hardcore min-maxer. And even then the Tauren/HM Tauren racials aren’t far behind Berserking in throughput, while being better regarding utility.

Well i have 2 uses of my berserking, one use is along with innervate to get as much charges as i can and more mana refund along with less mana spent plus during tranquility as some say its the best use.

Druud tree form innervate and berserking are perfectly lining up making it even better

Have not said that tauren racial is not good, but when the racial crit healing bonus of 2% is way inferrior for druuds compared to betserking.

Im 100% sure though tauren monk is alot better from troll and orc im currently playing because monks have crit as main stat while druuds have haste

And what is your overal output increase from using berserking?

From what I’ve seen, the difference between berserking and crit damage/versatility from tauren/HM tauren is about 0.7%, which is not really huge. And the Tauren also have AoE stomp/charge which gives better utility than berserking and other troll racials, as they may serve as an extra interrupt.

Either way, I agree with you that in terms of throughput Berserking is definitely better than the Tauren/HM crit damage/versatility, but the difference is marginal at best, not huge. Certainly not worth taking trolls over Tauren if you prefer Tauren aesthetics, unless you absolutely want to min-max as much as possible.

I dont care about the output since it makes so minimal difference, i care about the sustain that equals output.

My main purpose as a healer and my whole problem is always my mana. In that part berserking seems to serve well with innervate+fangs trinket + racial. I pop everything get around 10-11 stacks on innervate that means 5% mana back + what i get from the trinket + mana restore because you use 0 mana for 10 seconds. Its kinda huge, almost 20% mana if you add all together correctly

But as i play my druud for M+ yeah tauren stomp is another GREAT racial as long as you dont use it when mobs are immune. But dont forget da voodoo suffle too :wink:

Aesthetics? Yeah… Sadly nothing is even close to that savage looking black haired tauren male that i love so much and still havent made one, but hey my female troll is pretty damn nice as well :slight_smile:

I love female orcs too great bodytype and ok-ish racials. I pay that racial choice in the most brutal way since arcane torrent is extremely huge for mana starved monks + the utility of it.

Fair enough. My intent was merely to point out to the OP that the race choice doesn’t make or break performance below cutting edge progression and that they can chose the race they enjoy the most instead of one with the better racials without gimping themselves.

I’m glad you enjoy the gameplay of Berserking though, as that’s a valid reason to take trolls as well. Berserking indeed synergizes well with certain specs, which can lead to a more fluid gameplay.

But let’s be fair, in the end Tauren are the master race. Just look at me. :muscle:

Yep its not OP to a point that cowren is not good. They are basicly kind of the same with troll providing more flexibility to what i want, someone else might pick tauren for the AoE stun for example.

Yeah i didnt really liked the fact my druud is not gonna be a mean looking black male cow, but hey…Soon or one day ill make that warrior with bullwark of azzinoth on the back, and hes gonna be black and angry as hell xD
