Trouble running WOW

Hello,

so i recently bought a laptop of my friend for fairly cheap, was selling due to an upgrade, the one i bought is ASUS TUF FX705DY which has a AMD Ryzen R5-3550H Quad-Core Processor, RX560 4 GB Dedicated Graphics, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD Storage but im just wondering if i should be getting 20fps average in raids with everything set to 1 graphics level ?

use to get better FPS on a 8 year old laptop that had integrated graphics.

please help

Something is not quite right there. You will likely have to debug the performance of the laptop. Aside of testing without any addons you can check this post - Stuttering even with good FPS - #6 by Bigkeg-twisting-nether

that is crazy, just disabled all addons and boom 60fps on 7 setting in raid

Yep, it happens. Now you can enable one by one to see which one of them (or more than one) is causing this (and report to the addon owner).

That laptop can’t be more than a month old, yet… sounds like a hardware setup/optimisation c**k-up.

Esp. with a ‘portable’ platform, question what add-ons you have that are ‘life-ending’ & which are a ‘luxury QoL’… uninstall the latter for portable sessions & you should be OK.

yes he brought it then decided within 2 weeks he wanted a PC.

i think it was cause the addons were out of date and i didn’t realise.

Yeah, out of date addons can severely hinder framerates in WoW.

Any Ryzen is able to run WoW decently as they’re way better than the old FX cpu’s and even some of those can run BFA fine.
