Trouble switching between US and EU accounts

So, I have a bit of a problem with my accounts.

Way back in Lich King days I created a US account even though I live in Denmark, and I was fine with that. I have been playing on and off and never had any problems with my account. However, this summer I decided to switch to EU servers instead, and then start all over on a new server. I canceled my US subscription and started an EU subscription. It was also only on the EU server that I bought BFA. So far so good. However, I noticed that even though I was playing on an EU server, suddenly my profile on the battle net app said I was connected to the Americas, and I couldn’t find new EU friends.

SO yesterday, I noticed that I was for some reason I was able to play my US account

I could access all characters on both servers. Then today, I found out I was unable to access my EU account as it said my subscription had ended.
Which normally would just mean I had to start a new subscription, right? But for some reason, I still had full access to my US account and all my characters. SO I looked at my blizzard account and my subscription game and game time. I found this:

So the question is: How do I fix this? How do I switch completely to an EU account?

Hello ChrĂstine,

For the first thing, you can be logged in the US region in the app and still choose your WoW EU account, so double check when logging into the app that you are logging into the desired region.

For the payment issues please contact Customer Support so that they can double check this for you. We here in the forum for data privacy reasons.

Kind regards

What’s your opinion?

The whole thing is an extreemly dated concept. All MMOs i have played recently allow me to play on both EU and US servers under the same account and same subscription with the same copy of the game EXCEPT wow. For example, ESO allows me to play EU and US with one monthly payment. Same situation with LOTRO, EQ2, GW2 and numerous other mmos.

I have a friend in Australia that I cannot play with because I currently cant afford to buy an extra copy of BFA and pay another subscription on top of my EU one…which is 2.00 GBP more a month due to currency conversion and charges from my bank for foreign transactions.

Please blizzard, consider EU to US transfers, or even a shared subscription payment. The current set-up is ridiculous.

Not only that, when I moved my US account to EU, I lost everything I had collected for ten years. According to Blizzard, nothing could be done. I do not see why they could not restore my US account. Oh well. Old battle, lost.

So yes, same company, same game, or are they?
