I’ve put this as my OOC info on one of my characters but I’ll say it here too. If you’re an officer or GM of a guild, and your members are putting things like “Darth Maul”, “Daddy”, or “[Expletive that will get me banned from the forums]”, please tell them to cut it out, and if they don’t comply, threaten them with a kick.
And if you are an officer or GM of a guild and you’re the one doing this, know that you’re alienating anyone on the server with even the slightest modicum of good taste.
A certain human-centric guild that starts with the letter E, this is aimed at you. Sort your members out, you look ridiculous.

I am sorry, I haven’t been around Stormwind for a while and been lacking on WoW for a tad bit. What is going on that people are being placed on ignore?
People putting terrible memes in their TRP pronoun profile to have a jab at it & gender identity.
Or sometimes, straight up homophobic or transphobic things.

Ooooh! Yeah, I am seeing that even outside of Stormwind. I took up RPing on Stallnorth within Dalaran for a while. It’s even there as well, though I thought it was a mere joke aside, however, I am seeing proper jabs with it now that will arise a whisper from people.

Yeah, I wasn’t sure if I can or should name directly.
I don’t know if the members of it who are doing that are newbies, or well-established faces, but either way it’s an ugly look that reflects poorly on the guild as a whole and I’d like to see something done about it.
The Attack Helicopter meme was vaguely funny in 2014. The joke’s been run so far into the ground that it’s six feet underneath and started to necrose long ago.

Even if I don’t personally like it, people can still make dated jokes if they like with their friends like that. In private.
But putting it all over public profiles/or just going about with such jokes in public is tasteless at best and straight up malicious at worst.

Lots of stupid stuff people put in their TRP but aside from the dumb attack helicopter meme thing it’s a thing where people actively go out of their way to add that particular field to their TRP first glance tooltip window thing which IMO shows that it really is more malicious even if one is unaware of the context or in general just how hurtful the attack helicopter meme can be to people
yeah this is really something where people aren’t just making a stupid hurtful joke but they’re actively going out of their way to be malicious
