Leveling through dungeon runs is boring as all hell anyway.
Much better experience to go out into the world.
Sure as long as they don’t give loot or XP I’m fine with that.
I don’t care because I won’t use that system. It’s a bad idea because it promotes AFK-ing. It’s fine for people like you that want to see the story, that’s fine, getting anything else from it isn’t.
XP at max level? Come now, please stop acting so silly.
And it will be become even more pointless.
I am not just talking about max level. You will be able to use AI for leveling dungeons.
Oh, that definitely needs to be the thing.
WoW is an MMORPG after all. Not a single player game. The moment AI Raids become a thing WITH raid-specific rewards is the moment the endgame scene will die out. Hopefully this never comes outside of a “Story mode” with a one-time exclusive quest for some currency and reputation as reward.
I am not against AFK checks. Even with such easy content, I am not against using it to teach players how to play. NPCs or the player should die if the player fails too much, no matter the player’s gear, and eventually that will force a wipe.
Stop moving goalposts. You reacted to THIS remark.
Wasn’t talking about dungeons there.
Would be much too slow for anyone to find that even remotely interesting.
If you want to level through dungeons, getting real people will be MUCH MUCH faster.
I sincerely doubt the AI followers will be using weird little shortcuts and mob skips and such.
The AI thing can be good, if used correctly. Like Ion said in the Q&A their goal is for people to see the story and learn mechanics, I support that idea. Hell rework LFR into a AI practice scenario for Normal mode even, just don’t give people incentives to abuse it.
I didn’t move any goal post. I said you shouldn’t be getting rewarded for using AI, just because I quoted you when you were talking about raiding specifically doesn’t mean I have different rules for AI content.
No, it will become more tedious because it will be slower. And that will make people use the fasted method for leveling. I give you a hint: it won’t be with followers.
No one will span follower dungeons to level one character in X hours if they can span dungeons with other players to level one character in fewer hours.
Milk and cookies.
Just because I’m quoting you doesn’t mean I’m talking to you.

So you think the bots are slower than the queue times? Because they aren’t atm.
As long as it just stays that.
Oh ffs, yes I quoted you about LFR. You should’t get loot from AI LFR, happy now ?
What are you talking about? The normal dungeons leveling queue is fast, even for DPSs. And almost instant for tanks and healers.
I was happy, regardless. Because we’re finally getting things incorporated into the game that will improve it immensely for a part of the playerbase.
And I already said earlier: If they ever do an AI follower system for raids, I don’t expect there to be tier drops and whatnot. And I’d be fine with that.
I just think that whining about XP that’s going to be sub-optimal and gear that you’re going to replace right after you hit max level anyway, is just silly.
Mine were 15-20 min during daytime last time I leveled something (which was ~2 month ago).
During the TW event, sure I had 2-3 min queue times for TW dungeons.
Mine has always been between 5-10 minutes for DPS, less than 3 minutes for Healer, and instant for tanks so… I stand by my opinion: Follower dungeons are not worth it for leveling.
I think it’s an incentive for abuse of the system.
Then we can agree. I don’t mind Solo players having options for gamemodes, like I said if it can be used as a learning tool it benefits me by proxy, because I will have less people coming in and not knowing what to do.
