I state just reality. My former big boss (big american group) never speak english. As many vip (intended in politics, society and school).
Anyway is just a pov. In 2013 i was in china and a taxi driver was astonished that none in our group spoke mandarin. In fact they are 1.5 bil. So that wasnt so absurd.
There really is no excuse for any European to not know English in this day and age

English language teaching in Turkey is simply awful.
To be fair, it seems anything’s game at this point. How about a telepathic server, both PvE & PvP, where there are no channels, you all just assume what other’s mean…
Oh, wait, that’s the actual servers!

@Edbad: I took a look at a few things… The potential is actually a lot lower than you think. According to the links I looked at, Turkey barely has 50% access to internet. Of those households (note: households, not individual people) that have access, only about 70% own a computer. Typical household size is about 4,7 people (in Turkey). So… we have already gone down from 85 million to less than 30 million. Take out underaged children and we drop below 13 million. Take out most of the adult females (Turkey is listed among countries, which have a large gender cap here) and we go below 7 million. That is already less than the Nordic countries have adults that can at least understand Swedish… and a Scandinavian support realm is not likely, either. As you can see, I have not even started with language (or available funds for luxuries such as the monthly fee for WoW, there have been numerous threads about the subscription being too high for Turkish players).
Let us then look at the facts as they are in the current game… Twisting Nether, which is among the highest realms in terms of Turkish players… Has, as far as I can tell, less than 4 900 players total and I would assume the number includes at least some non-Turkish players, too. There are scattered Turks on other realms, true, but their numbers seem very low.
Now, please consider this: Spain has realized potential in the range of over 40 000 players and they have needed multiple connections, lost their RP and RP-PvP realms in conversions. There are more Italian than Turkish players and both Italian realms struggle in terms of activity (combined the two have more than double the entire active population of TN and there are severak large Italian guilds on other realms).
Given the known prime time to total ratios on current realms… Even a single realm of a minority language support realistically speaking needs a MINIMUM playerbase of at least 12 000, preferably 24 000+. Turkish speakers most likely do not have even one fourth of the latter. Turkish support would not be likely to boost the Turkish player base by over 300%, that is simply not feasible.
Portuguese support exists solely, because there are so many speakers in South America and Aggra got connected to Grim Batol (the original “home” of many Portuguese speakers) years ago as it did not survive on its own. I know it sounds blunt, but I feel an official Turkish support realm is not likely. There simply are not enough (potential) players for it to exist…

Well I play with a lot of Greek guys but surprisingly they all seem to speak decent to good English. The turks and italians are the worst when it comes to speaking English. Spaniards well they bad but not as horrible as the turks.

I want Swedish realms. Make it happen, blizzard. And the Swedes should be sharded vs the Danish, Finnish and Norwegian in warmode, we can take them all on.

Years ago before I moved server they nicknamed Dunemaul ‘Turkmaul’ because we had such a large Turkish contingent on the server. No idea if it’s still the same.
It got merged with some other realms. So may not be the case any more.

They should indeed. Since a lot of non-European and non-American countries, mine included, teach English in their schools to help communication on an international level. I don’t understand why people in Europe wouldn’t learn it, especially the younger generation.
