Turkish Language Realms

Greetings Blizzard,
I want to make a suggestion on adding Turkish language realms. Turkish player base is already at a decent level in World of Warcraft, but what you have to understand is that there is an enormous potential player base that you can reach. Turkey is a country with over 85 million population, and many people I know are unable to play due to the language barrier. Even a few Turkish software programmers who are also huge WoW fans have already started to make translations of BfA storyline quests’ texts. I even have the screenshots for the translated game but it doesn’t let me share links here.
If Blizzard won’t make this happen, it seems like this will occur in unofficial ways eventually. Considering the lowering subscription rates for WoW, I think Blizzard this is a huge opportunity for increasing the subscriptions as well. Also for your information, Riot games has its Turkish servers for League of Legends since day one. I would say that even 2 Turkish servers would be more than enough for a start, just like the Italian servers. We hope to see further progress upon this issue from Blizzard.

Without looking at other language-specific realms, how come Turkish people don’t speak English? Do they not learn it in school?

At least OP seems to have learned it?

The problem is atm there are far to many low and empty servers so I doubt unless Retail gets a massive influx that we will see new servers open anywere.

I know you want the Greek realms too shona mou

What lowering of rates?

Also you are overstating the player base in Turkey.

What’s next? Hebrew? lol…

Twisting Nether not enough? Take an example from Russians in Vanilla, occupy a server for yourself!

Not going to happen, and if, not soon. Take an example from Polish community. Most of them who want to play it in polish simply roll on one of the most PL infested realm Burning Legion. There’s even pretty well made addon translating quests and spells to polish, where community simply contributes and translate as a group. Not impossible, just get together and work as a community.

Please not. It’s already bad enough that the few Turkish player we have always ask to reduce the sub price because the economy is so bad.

Just let the few who learned English play

Also : Five languages have more than 50 million native speakers in Europe: French, Italian, German, English and Russian.

The reality is that these threads pop every so often. Blizzard tracks these things and were there enough people to merit servers there would be some.

And by these threads I mean Turkish, ex-Yugoslavia, Czech…

Technically yea, we have English language lectures but it can’t be said they have too much use. OP probably learnt English from WoW or other computer games just like me, if I were to tell schools contribution to my English level it would be %20 at best…

Related to the topic…there are 2 things Turkish people are good at. 1 - Food , 2 - Voice acting.

I actually wonder what would be the outcome if they give us Turkish servers and Turkish dubs.

Okan Bayülgen’s voice would be the perfect fit for goblin king. Rofl

Ok come in my country (Italy) and stop someone speaking in english.
Teaching is different from learning.

Thats my first realm ever…back in tbc-wrath.Greeks are awsome had one of the best times in game, they are funny and cheerful as hell. <3 to Genjuros but that realm is dead since Cata, not to mention they butcher it with the connected realms, they merged it with heavy alliance realms.

The irony is i transfered/rerolled to Twisting Nether from where i had to run,and a happy camper on Draenor.OP Turkish Nether is where the majority of Turks and Arabs play, also i heard stories about Burning Legion.
