Are you talking about Deathwing flying over and grilling people? I guess that is RP mechanic. A fantasy world such as Azeroth is a dangerous place, especially if a mad dragon flies around. The event tries give the game world a more lively feeling, knowing that the world is changing and that you should never drop your vigilance.

It will eventually, but maybe long time yet. It was like same in OG Cata 
It pretty much only affects people leveling and farming bots anyways, it can’t happen in any of the major daily quest hubs (Tol Barad, Deepholm, and later, Molten Front), or in any capitol cities.
It has happened to me several times that I fly to the daily quest hub in Twilight Highlands and instantly die when I land from flight path because it is in the middle of a pool of fire. Really annoying
Your a druid, you have time to flight form and fly up to get out of the fire before you die, it takes like 3-4 ticks of the fire to actually kill you. I have done that several times while flying around doing arch and landing on the taxi in a fire.

You must have had huge lag or something then, because it never killed me in one hit, not even when I was like level 30 or something when I first time ran through the fire. Only time it kills you instantly is if your on Deathwings path when he does the flyby, the fire he leaves behind on the ground only does something like 30% of your max health per tick.
Sky turns red - get on your flying mount and safe yourself. Easy solution.
Or instead you could keep standing there and create a winy thread about one of the few cool things hat was implemented in the game and kept as it was in original Cata.
