Tuskarr soup event not working

So the wife and I attempted to do the Tuskarr soup event thing. I managed to get 10 orders in about 2 minutes completed and my wife got zero participation despite being there from the very start. It didnt even register the fact she had been there on the valdrakken quest so although there for the full 15 minutes its as though she wasnt there.

Is this a bug or did we miss something? because she was waiting right by the pot nuking the crap that flew out for the chefs hats to appear. Nothing did. she has the little 0/5 orders to do quest still also.

Anyone else experienced the same?

My guess it was a bug since I haven’t had any issues getting all the orders. Though did she have the icon for the event? Like when you take part in the Centaur Hunts you get this specific quest icon that shows it’s active. Because it did happen to me once that when I took part in the hunt and even though it was still active and going, at least on the map, I didn’t get any credit for it and I didn’t have the quest icon visible.

I haven’t experienced that.

I have experienced getting 3/5 or 4/5 when there was a large crowd, but with 10.0.5 Blizzard added a task completion credit just for clicking the Chef’s Hat, so that you can get two credits per task, so I expect that will no longer be a thing.

I never had no tasks assigned at all.

I have heard of people who got one of those “fish up an Icefin” or “buy some milk” tasks who didn’t, and therefore got no further tasks and no credit.

“Nuking the crap that flew out” does absolutely nothing, unless that is a task you have been given.

I have no explanation for what you say.

She had the icon for the event. I had the icon for the event. She was there waiting for it to start as was I.

Do you have to do at least one task for it to count?

If the task says Kitchen Duty then you can just stand there and it will complete by the group.
But if it says “Something Sweet” or something similar then it may be that this task must be done in order to Tag completion of the event.

Just killing an attacking beast should have ticked off the participation.

Idk what to say I’ve done more than 10 times this weekend (including three characters completing the weekly in the same event). I know what is going wrong for people, are you sure they didn’t have a task and ignored it?

By the way
Since very recently killing attacking beasts
And dropping their ‘meat’ into the pot now gives credit towards the 5 tasks quest

It’s super fast to do now

Does she have the community soup actually unlocked with renown?

Good question. Needs 3 with Tuskar I think. easy enough to get some very quick and easy quests in the town, such as telling a story to the old lady (just selecting a few opions in dialog window).
