I mean what was blizzard thinking? Have they seen it themselves or are they waiting for the world championship to realise how dumb that is. I am 2.5 last season xp on priest and rogue ( not rank 1 but i believe i’m a bit decent) and i just now played on my rogue a 1800+ rated 2s game. I played against a discipline priest and a dh. They SPAWNED FIVE (5) tentacles within the first 3 seconds of the game and got me down to 50 k hp out of my 460k hp in exactly 2 seconds. After i used shadowstep + sprint to kill a couple of them ( And cloak of course to survive this) another 3 spawned on me and 2 on my resto druid. They totally dealt around 800 k of MIND FLAY damage within 30 seconds priest and DH combined. Even if you are playing a ranged spec with instant casts at your disposal it’s still insane to counter all of them. Imagine playing a pooling class like assasination rogue and even consider going against that. Even tried to throw a few poison daggers on them , since they are one hit, but in every GCD i was taking around 30-40 k damage or more since i was starving on energy and even waited longer than a single gcd to throw a dagger. In the end, after we lost of course, my druid had dealt 2 million healing whilst the priest had to around 300 k, all coming from my opener bleeds on DH.This is the MOST DISGUSTING THING i’ve face by faaaaaaaaaaaaar during playing any game ever. It has nothing to do with skill whatsoever and despite a “skilled” -in my opinion- attempt to counter this procfest, it just seemed insanely out of control. Please do me a favor and consider what i’m saying or try to experience it yourselves. I’ve never seen anything more broken and overpowered for no reason whatsoever. So we come down to 2 options. Either nerf them by 90-95 % in instanced pvp or remove them completely and make Arena a better environment for skilled players and new ones. I’m not sure how you tested all that stuff before you had them in the live client.What i know is that i am desperate to be heard as i feel to be treated with unfairness during my playtime,just because of poor game design and development.
Mixed thoughts, as it’s my only decent corruption atm. However, I’ve felt that they should be disabled in rbg/arena. There have been many complaints over the years over particular pvp items causing a huge rebalance in arena (shadowmourne, rogues with legendary dagger and vial of shadows trinket to name a few). The only thing corruption has on that, is that it’s not restricted to people playing one class, but equally as a problem, it’s not limited to any one class.
So yeah, I’m all for removing corruptions effects in competitive pvp.
I just wish i was recording it, so people could watch with a click that insanity
You don’t need to be in area to see that, you can see it even in lfr or random dungeon, someone gets chain procs and zooms off 100k dps ahead of everyone because rng.
Edit, so anyone can see it first hand.
Edit 2, if you want some hard numbers on it, my boots have r2, which is 10k per tick, for 10 seconds, so 100k damage there, from 1 tentacle. I’ve got a belt that I don’t use with r3, which is 17k per tick, so 170k damage from that one alone. If I use both it combines into 270k over 10secs, so something like that procs 2-3 times in pvp and you’ve been deleted.
Tbh,since arena, a couple of visions and a few keys is all i have time for, i seriously considered dropping out of the game until shadowlands. Not talking about a rage quit etc. I am talking about a sad-no choice quit, since pvp is all I do. It doesn’t feel ok at all.
Yeah, I’ve had similar feelings for this patch. Even getting half decent corruptions doesn’t make it feel any better. Having so much of your output down to random procs that are randomly acquired just doesn’t feel good.
Just go with with 4 twisted appendage rank 3 items.
You may die instantly from lethal corruption, but since you’ll be sprouting tentacles from your face and turn into a faceless one twisted appendages will just spawn right as the arena starts and oneshot your opponents before they leave the starting area 
Oh yeah and they have like 50-70 yards attack range.
I only have 1 rank 3 infinite stars on my rogue and it is enough to be my 2nd best damage output in raids, doing stable 60 k dps, with full trash pvp gear. I even have a plain versatility trinket equipped on. Apparently these days, if you check your Details addon, you will see that EVERYONE has a corruption affect on the top of their damage output. I mean this is kinda ok i guess for PvE, since this patch is all about corruption but disgusting in PvP. Don’t get me wrong though. I heard my guild is spending millions daily to purchase corrupted items off AH in order to kill mythic nzoth. They are doing extra raid days to boost people on heroic, to make money so they can purchase items off AH IN ORDER TO RAID. Jesus christ… Imagine people were complaining about titanforging. Titanforging seems like a dreamy scenario now
if you’re spending millions on corrupted items in order to raid it means you’re terrible at boss mechanics, git gud u rich scrubs

WoW has always been a dancing game, it’s the same thing over & over, you don’t need best in slot corruptions to kill mythic bosses unless you’re insecure in your ability to deal with boss mechanics
