Twisting Corridors is a joke

Dunno if corridors were changed in 9.1, but in 9.0x patch we did corridors with 205ilvl (druid+hunter). Was a complete faceroll. So if the stats are still the same, 250 should destroy it.

Just a general advice - don’t ignore defensive powers, you need a lot of them to tank last boss. Dmg will come naturally from powers and souls. And yes, free all souls and complete all floors 100%, don’t skip a single thing.

I did ask about a month ago for them to do something with the twisting corridors in 9.1.5 like they said they would in a dev interview once, … nobody cared, i got 1 like on the main post and that was it, blizz then make no changes, basically they’ve abandoned it.

If you want to complete it i’d recommend making sure you’re at least about 220 and pick up a lot of defensive powers where you can, especially near the beginning, i mean to be fair it should be challenging on some level right, if it just let you win easily every floor it’d be a stupid game. But yeah there are clearly problems with some classes having a much harder time than others, which they haven’t addressed, I suppose i would actually rather work on stopping harassing their employees than spend time fixing stuff anyway so, …, well that’s it

250 Havoc is very high I did it at 207 ilvl as Havoc. rng is a factor but at 250 you should be like Neo at the end of the Matrix.

My boss kill for reference

It is a you problem the design is fine. The difficulty is good in my opinion. And if you can’t do it as a DH i don’t know what else to say.
I love the TC and especially the last boss. My lives almost ran out untill i figure out how to kill it.

People are way too greedy with the anima powers. Get yourself more deff animas and you wont be able to die in oneshots.

Corridors is such a easy way, no clue how people still struggle with it.

i did this once before nerf happened, long long time ago.

Soo, I’ve decided to give my fury warrior a go. And, I have to say that Twisting Corridors is truly a JOKE.

My only mistake first time was picking a DH, which is, compared to fury, weak and hard to play in Thorgast. LOL.

So, as a warrior, by the end of the run i had - permanent Enraged regeneration, permanent Spell Reflection, permanent Fear immunity and almost permanent Rallying Cry. Not that i needed any of those in the first place!
My run basically consitet of charge and spamming Rampage and Condemn over and over while standing still, permanently AoE stunning everyone.

Yeah, DH is a clown with complex strategy compared to that.

My 17th floor wasnt Morth’regar tho. Skoldus felt way easier despite playing a warrior. Morth is pretty broken and should be looked at. Also DH should recive some better defensive anima powers.
Warrior felt like he has NO weak anima, compared to DH’s third of them really meh.

So yeah. Defo a skill issue like many of the experts suggested earlier.

Thanks for some of the positive feedback and i can only advise to you take care if your last wings are Morth’regar. And consider playing a strong class, for example venthyr warrior.

And once again, devs made a poor job here at real polish of this system. Some classes just draw short end of the stick with anima powers. Which is sad. Difficulty of the different wings is also wild without any indication given.

it pains me to read this

…But other than that I pretty much agree, huge class imbalances, general lack of polish

Design is not fine, its just not as bad as some people make it to be.

Still everything about you being able to finish torghast runs (to some degree) and TC relies on RNG providing you with right powers, so the result is less dependant on players agency than RNG.

Not to mention the design of powers themselves makes it substantially harder for some classes/ specs, for no reason.

Ouch, didnt bother to check the spelling

Yeah, its half baked. And a real shame. It can be fun when you get the “dream” anima combos.
Btw, any of you remember when they announced that Torghast runs will contribute to weekly chest?! How hilarious would that be?! Bad class? Sorry, no good gear. xD

I went in with a different class and learning from my mistakes took defensive powers and didn’t die. Lol torghast!

Exactly. Those people must be trolling or not really playing very much, or having alts. The difference between classes is HUGE. And i really think that Mort’regar is very poorly tuned compared to other wings.

Except not. And im not even going to waste more time explaining it to you.

Go take a look at the list of powers of Kyrian Havoc vs Venthyr Fury and tell me if its balanced in any way. Or not, I care not for your opinion anymore.

It’s alright bro im a dick sometimes but spelling always gets to me for some reason lol

Anytime I think of Torghast I’m reminded of Mort’regar which is honestly terrifying when you’re in there and the mobs have quite high hp compared to your gear level if it’s not overwhelmingly high, some of the abilities just make for a really hard time. I love these sorts of challenges but I can totally see how other people find it pretty rough.

You’ve got the Deadsoul Chorus which casts death blast on you, slowly making you unable to heal yourself, while also dealing damage so you better go quick, there’s the Deadsoul Miscreations which have bloody enormous models and they just take ages to kill. Around the elite mobs, there’s all these groups of smaller mobs huddled together that leap to your location when you aggro. I’m sure everybody remembers the Deadsoul Devils too, we’ve all had that moment where we’ve cleared half an area and as we’re clearing the second half, a Devil resurrects and aggros immediately, brutal. On top of that there’s the pools on the ground forming all the time which you gotta be careful of, and many of the floors on Mort’regar are, as people have mentioned, those floors with a bunch of floating platforms, and you have basically 0 warning which floor you end up when you go through a portal, so better have your CDs up if you land on a floor which is crawling with mobs.

Absolutely savage wing lol I love it tbh, my least favourite wing is probably coldheart due to the colour scheme and it’s just really dull imo

Oh DH you can pick eye beam reset powers and immunity during eye beam and just eye beam forever while being immune to damage.

If you can also snag a few Lens of w/e powers then it’s just incredibly easier and faster.

And not forget the conduit that increase immolation aura damage with the power that refresh immolation on damage.

I dont really mind it in regular Torghast, it just pissed me off in twisting today. No problem all the way up to floor 17 where they all just kept oneshotting me.

Coldheart is just slow… I think i like Soulforges the most, feels fastest.

To other posters:
Considering using immunity during eyes - didnt sadly show up for me, and its also not reliable.
And immolation aura. Well, ofc, i had imo aura refresh with 500% increase. But guess what, it is no use when you have to jump platforms with a stupid rope losing increased damage on every pack.
Honestly thinking about it, DH does not have any reliable dmg reduction in there. And compared to a warrior feels like a joke.

No point beating the dead horse now. In conclusion - i got some bad RNG and Torghast is very unbalanced. A shameful display. Hopefuly devs notice and dont repeat mistakes…

It is funny I would say the complete opposite. I feel like a god playing DH and can hardly stay alive with Warrior (Arms I have no chance, Fury is troublesome). I suppose it comes down to ‘skill’ (if that is such a thing in this game) and class familiarity along with a bit of luck with powers, bosses and floor type.

It is a shame they did nothing with TC once you get the mount then you never return. Bit of a waste really.

Yes but that how rogue like things work.

I play a lot of games like that and sometimes the powers I am offered don’t scale enough with the difficulty, other times I am melting levels.

RNG is part of those games.
TC is a game mode with no in game power rewards so Imo its fine if some runs goes to crap for that.

I had some cool runs in such games when I was able to pull a cool run of some crsppy power that I was able to make work in some absurd way.

I get that if you don’t like such games tho, failing like that can be frustrating.

I will give TC a chance once I level a new DH, really curios about it.

The whole point is to waste your time with a shi tty experience?
