DH felt like a god. Up until L8 17th floor of Mort’regar. Mobs began to oneshot me.
Warrior was a slower killer but basically immortal. Being Venthyr is a must tho i think. Condemn with high haste and AoE Knockdown just mows everything.
And its funny you mention skill at playing the class. Because I am pretty good DH but a terrible Warrior in m+
You HAVE to run into Mort’regar at L8 F17 tho! xD With platforms even. I think that was the biggest issue for me. And the only issue tbh.
At 250 ilvl I can’t get my head around that. I was over 40 ilvls less and I am a crappy pugging boomer, you must have got royally shafted on the powers/level rng game.
Yeah. Not to mention having this bad RNG at the end of your run of TC which is 18!! floors.
My only problem with morth is the mob reducing healing while chugging out nasty damage with that cast.
Like, as a balance i hated that mob so much.
White mobs hit for 60k, elites 90+k per HIT, not spells, auto attacks!! Shame i didnt make SS’s
No we’re not talking about your time on the forum
The point of TC is that it’s not easy and making a mistake will cost you. Does it feel good to blaze through everything like OP did only to die from nothing on the last floor? No it doesn’t but next time he’ll be prepared for that.
Something else MIGHT go wrong again but each time he’ll learn and come back and that seemed to be the point of Torghast to begin with.
I think mobs there have some kind of spell dmg instead of normal physical attacks for auto attacks. I went down in 1-2 hits.
Makes me feel good that I managed it at 207 then… idk really. You are 250ilvl more than my main (this character) . Maybe I got really lucky and/or you didn’t.
Either way you are done with it, enjoy the mount.
I mean, I blazed like nothing with warrior, not really picking any def powers over dmg powers. I even had a strategy with DH and perma buffed imo saving stacked eyes for strong enemies. No strategy went into my warrior run. Some people just suggested warri is good for TC. Which it is. Just comparing anima powers you can buy at vendors ALL of them were always useful as warrior. Most of them were always MEH as DH
Yeah, thanks!
It was strange, the spike between F16 and F17 was crazy. And i was not able to utilize my powers optimally because of the stupid harpoon mechanic.
And just btw, i belive i could do it at ilvl 200 with a warrior having same animas just as easily, only slower.
Not gonna lie…coincidentialy i did twisting corridors yesterday L8. With my sp 247ish ilvl.
It was indeed a faceroll…all the way…every mob, boss on every single floor. I even get two renown for it.
Hardest part was remembering that i have to loot every single mob myself.
I dont wanna be that guy…but if you struggle there with 250 ilvl…the game design isnt your issue.
Not to mention the fact that most of the time you’ll realize you cant progress any further when you’re already 1 hour in.
It might make sense in roguelike games where thats the essence of the game, but not in WoW where its just a minigame addition, built on top of a system thats supposed to give deterministic rewards.
I did it back when it first came out. On 190 paladin. It was quite easy back then. Sure it should be easier now.
twisting corridors was not easy on day 1
atleast without a shaman
The struggle is real when you’re too used to auto looting. Have to keep on reminding myself of it on characters that don’t have it researched yet.
While i wouldn’t call it easy when it first came out then a lot of it was simply down to picking the right powers. Usually you’d get at least one or two optimal damage combinations throughout the run so often it’s a matter of picking what lets you stay alive later on.
The rare power that makes you unable to take more than 25% of your max hp in damage each hit makes that part trivial. Probably why it only comes from one specific rare that only has a chance to be there.
So you rushed through the corridor, didn’t bother to pick up much anima powers and hit a wall when you got further in?
I’ve had a similar experience the first time I did it. So, never again.
same here, time ago I facerolled everything untill at some point it became suddenly impossible, and wasted tons of time for nothing.
never bothered with torghast ever again, just did the bare minimum to gain soul cinders to upgrade lego to r6.
on my alts I don’t even have legos.
No, the souls scale with your gear because they increase your stats by a percent. And you get an absurd amount of souls in twisting corridors.
