Twith Drops - Free Feldrake

If you got it on the BMAH you got it recycled, considering it was TCG exclusive mount.

This is almost exactly the same reasoning behind demanding money back after something you bought goes on sale, just on a bigger, more absurd scale. If you bought whatever at whatever price, it means to you that was a fair bargain. If that item goes on sale or is given for free to others, why would that be unfair to you? You bought something because you needed it and/or liked that item in particular, or did you buy it for the bragging rights, as a display of wealth, only to feel bad when you realise it wasn’t that effective? Do you feel lessened because other people are able to enjoy the same things you enjoy? Would you have been against public schools being open to lower classes? A lot of things we enjoy today were once exclusive to those who could afford them, would you say it’s unfair? I realise my example is out of scale as well, but it serves to point out that this is not a matter of understanding, it’s a matter of ideas: I don’t reason the same way as you, and I’m quite proud of this.

Now let’s get this straight: you did not buy a Lamborghini, nor a right to public education. You bought (I assume) a pixel dragon in a videogame (let’s say you bought a 2007 Ford Focus with 100k miles and 4 past owners…), which is infinitely reproducible with no additional work or materials required, and you bought it at a stupidly inflated price, knowing full well that Blizzard has full control over it and anything else in the game, from giving away the drake to removing it, to shutting down the servers for good.
I wouldn’t be envious of you had you bought a Lamborghini and trust me, I’m not envious of the Feldrake mount from World of Warcraft. This is what I was talking about, the entire “you can’t afford it, you’re jealous” argument screams individualism and insecurity. You’re just assuming other people never bought the Feldrake because they weren’t rich enough, but I guarantee you anyone with a job can save up 2-3 grands, you’re not special. They simply choose to spend them on something else, because not everyone gives the pixel dragon the same value. I mean, I wouldn’t buy it if it cost 5€, does this mean I don’t have 5€? But don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say you shouldn’t have bought it, and I agree, everyone can spend money on whatever they want at whatever price. And I’m not even saying you shouldn’t cry because now others will get it for free. In fact please, cry some more.

I’m not sure you’re referring to me, but just in case, I’m not saying digital goods hold no real value, because of course they do, and all currency in history was always a convention. Still its worth was for the longest time (and still is to an extent) determined by real tangible resources (e.g. gold or silver). A price isn’t based purely on what the free market wills (thank the gods), it’s based first and foremost on the cost of materials and labour. Being that each specimen of Feldrake isn’t actually manufactured, the price right now, years after the original investment, could very well be, and in fact is, zero. Well, not exactly zero, but you get my point. Artificial scarcity of digital items inflates their price way beyond the cost of materials and labour, and as I said, you’re at your liberty to play into such scams, but you didn’t buy a Feldrake, you bought 0,5% Feldrake and 99,5% surplus. When people say that the Feldrake being free devalues their precious rare mount, they should realise that “value” was pure speculation. It was, by all means, made up, and nothing is really being taken away from them, not only because literally nothing is being taken away from them, but also because the thing was worth a penny to begin with. Were Lamborghini to suddenly develop an altruistic ideology, they still couldn’t give cars out for free.
This entire business should, if anything, open a few eyes on the risks of turning wealth into a purely abstract concept, with no ties to anything tangible.

I agree, but isn’t this basically just as free as a Twitch drop? If the Twitch drop devalues the mount, it being a quest reward surely does it just as much.

why not just add it to blizzard store for free all u need is to click on it in store :stuck_out_tongue:
why force players to watch twitter ? why forced content ?
it is not free u have to waste 4 hrs of ur time and time is money …
u can just simple work 4 hrs and get like 100 euros and buy urself 4 store mounts

or,you can work 4hours and put twitch on phone while working and save those "100"euro. right? right?

yes i guess u can do that :stuck_out_tongue:

Because I had to work for it. Others didn’t. The most precious thing in our life is time. At the end everything is time even money.

And when the time you put on something is devaluated it’s just not fair. If you can’t see that I don’t know how to explain it differently.

That is exactly why I thought a quest would be better. Because it’s not free. People who want it will at least have to take time to get it.

Your exemple on the public school is a really good exemple. We all paid for public school so it’s only fair if we all have access to it.

This mount shouldn’t be for free on the twitch drop, shouldn’t be added anywhere. This is a mmorpg game which is based on rare/unique items you can’t have everything in this game AND saying that you can buy it for irl money is the stupidest argument you can give, because in this game you can buy literally everything for irl cash, you can buy tokens, sell them for gold and buy a mount from m + or a gladiator or any other mount in the game.

This is in my opinion the stupidest blizzard idea ever, they might as well give away mounts for glad or m +. In the present situation, they should change this award or people who already have this mount should get a new version of it.

wau blizzard gives a twitter mount look on eso they giveing the 3rd mount out already

Only the WoW community will oppose giving free mounts to the community.

Both store mounts or old mounts people acquired through non-game activities.

lookat ESO giveing away 3rd twithher drop mount already :stuck_out_tongue:
blizzard is on their first one how sad

Yes and also give away free gladiator please, and all other rare mounts i dont own you idiot

It’s an ugly mount that I never knew existed before this thread.
I do not care about it. I’ll mount it once, look at it, go “hmm ok?” Then dismount it and go about my day.
I watch asmongold anyways so I’ll end up getting it.
But I could not care any less about ugly, old, reskinned drake #124 of the 200 out there.

sounds good to me exclusive items in a video game just breeds snow flakes death to toxic d bags

Whoever cry over this he is a hypocrite!
If you have a Feldrake just to flex it (cause i PAY much U didn’t!) you are pathetic.
If you enjoy it just keep using it who cares if someone else have it?
I still use my Magic Rooster and i feel happy to see other players have it also and run with the chicken.

I think it is a good idea
because why not ?
They own the stuff
and i rather see blizzard selling me rare TCG mounts and items for reasonable price
then see someone going like 30mil for this nonsence  because he tought that is the PRICE
Do you really think spectral should cost 5k euros?
it’s like 50 euro mount and that i’m generous

Blizzard own everything you do in this game even account you are playing on is not yours
so they can do whatever they want with that
it’s basically a free income for them less income for scammers on 3rd party websites

Man I absolutely LOVE the crybabies whining over some pixels being ‘special’.
I hope they give away everything that’s been sold for obcene amounts of money through 3rd party websites just to see veins pop and a reality check.

Yep i will obtain it and just for the cry babies never ride it once, its just a number for my mountcollection

what time we have to login to watch?

Dragonflight launch I believe, if anyone else can confirm that’d be awesome.
