LFR is not raiding so does not deserve it. Its a faux version of raiding for people who need that ease of play.
True.
But this is about promotion for them. It’s getting people talking about their game and eyesballs from the outside on it. They wouldn’t get that with ingame quests.
Doesn’t matter. YOU think it doesn’t deserve it. I do.
So; agree to disagree.
I will just sit on my slimecat.
but is it another horse? its always a horse.
i want a pink unicorn
That’s just mean.
You’re a mean, mean person.
And Blizzard is wrong for making the decision they made.
I worked hard for months, to get this mount, sometimes playing throughout the night to earn the gold to buy it. I logged off WoW after 17 years of uninterrupted game play a few days ago and wondering what to do. I watched AnnieFuchsia play 4 hours of FF14 which apparently entitles me to another Feldrake. As I have one already may I have Scarab Lord mount I realise it is just pixels so no reason I cannot have Scarab Lord mount. Also why does watching someone play FF14 award a Feldrake?
I am new to twitch how does Blizzard removing in game paintings of women and replacing them with bowls of fruit, match up with the promoting the game with a service that promotes “hot tub girls” was the moralizing following Blizzards awkward legal difficulties less than sincere?
Just so freaking well put.
WoW is just one game but people play it and enjoy it for different reason: for some it’s the excitement of succeeding with others in a coordinated effort, for some is besting other players in virtual combat, for some it’s getting closer to complete a collection, for some is hoarding resources, for some is the pleasure of delivering virtual services, for some is battling and collecting pets, and the list goes on.
But if your game is “let’s collect the rarest piece of collectible there is to feel special and/or to derive pleasure from the thought of others not being able to enjoy it” then: 1) what kind of person are you? 2) I’m pretty sure that the community of players and the game is better without you and you bucks*, and I hope the promise of those who threaten to quit because of the twitch drop will be followed through.
For me this was definitely a reason to walk the extra mile and get the mount.
Cheers.
- Far from me thinking that Blizzard would ever take on purpose a decision that hurts their bottom line. I am pretty sure they also came to realize that there is more money to be made in making the collectible available to as many people as possible then catering to the few playing the “virtual exclusivity” game.
TCG died many years ago, spent many a penny trying to get the rare cards but was never really successful.
I understrand that the item was rare and went for for a few grand, but if people want to pay that much for an in-game item that is on them, I see no harm in offering people who never had access to TCG a chance to get some rare pets/mounts without taking a small mortgage out due the overpricing of those items on auction sites.
