There are two things that really break the vibe for me in playing my shadow priest:
Shadowform visual effect is too annoying, even with the glyph. You literally go all purple, and you can’t distinguish your character at all but the silhouette. Can’t they rework it or at least make a glyph that COMPLETELY eliminates the effect?
One could say: yeah but it’s needed so I know that the priest is psecced shadow on first sight! But then again: it’s not like you can tell any other class’ spec at first sight either, so why would it be different in this case anyway?
I know a priest is a priest, but when I play SHADOW priest I want everything related to my spells connected to VOID and DARKNESS. Seeing Shadowmend being removed and now having to cast renew and flash of light to heal clashes so much with the spec fantasy. I don’t like how infusion doesn’t have shadowy effect either.
I know it’s minor, and majority of people really don’t care, but it really breaks the shadow priest vibe imo. Can’t we have complete shadow based visual effects for any spell when it comes to Shadow priest? (since a mix of both is more represented in Discipline spec anyway)
Both of these minor things can be handled by glyphs.
Players ask for shadowform customizations since new “fartform” was implemented. I believe they could easily make glyphs to make it different, or just remove it’s visuals.
Having holy spells back in our kits is mechanicaly good idea. When you are kicked, you can have something to cast. Again, glyphs could be introduced to make Flash Heal and Renew more shadowy.
Honestly, Priest needs some spell animation refresh. PW:S looks the same since vanilla. Many new spells across all specs does not have up to date animations…
Still waiting on void shield to replace pw: shield, the 3d animation has been in the game since islands in bfa and we still have the 2d holy oval. Also levitate needs purpley sparkles please.
