I remember that before around the Cataclysm-Mists of Pandaria expansions it was a viable a option to dual-wield weapons as a hunter, although it was most common while leveling. Would love to see this come back as an option for Survival at end game, I can imagine those that plays the spec are probably pretty tired of using a polearm/staff transmog all the time so this could be a fun alternative.
I much prefer the Polearm look on a Surv hunter, but if they’re letting WW monk us 2h again (although they have still yet to deliver…) I don’t see why they cant make it work the other way around for Surv hunter.
Maybe it would cause compilations to the loot table. A lot of specs already use 1h agility weapons.
Using a 1h item again would have a nostalgic throwback to when Hunters were all ranged but carried a melee weapon for the very few times we were up-close-and-personal. It would be nice to have that option but who knows if they would ever do that.
It kind of had the same vitability as 2h-shamans.
Possible but quite a bit weaker than other specs.
Also survival was mostly vanilla, slightly tbc but wotlk already made it ranged dependant with explosive shot, black arrow and lock and load
Side note; I miss the look of hunters having a bow with 2 one-handers. You occasionally see NPCs with it and it looks really dope.
Would be nice to see Blizz give survival dual wielding back, especially since other classes (fury warriors, death knights) are getting the same treatment.
I like the tinker feel of it but hate the melee combat there is just something not working in the rotation (its super chaotic) ! More bombs and quick shots and less slashing with the spear pls !
