the chin is actually pretty close to the shape of his face in the cgi
what isnt though is his awful hair. i hope to god this isnt the finished model as a big alliance nerd this breaks my heart.

I leave mine in full void mode, not pretending to be a HE, I have a BE to look non purply.

I think it’s a lovely addition those for the Alliance players who want to RP HE though.

I will never understand why they didn’t just give the Alliance HE when they gave Horde Nightborne.

Storywise they could have carried on with Velfy Alleria. Or even just made VE a customisation option on a HE after giving them to Alliance.

They remind me of those stories where people ask for wishes from a genie and the genie manages to always twist it into not quite what you asked for or with some unexpected side effect.

Players want customisable housing they can decorate, we get get garrisons.

Players want He, they give them a new Elf race that is a funny colour.

Players want a variety of new races, they give them blue Night elves, purple elves, taurens with moose antlers etc etc.

From the general tone of Blizzard’s devs back then I would say pure spite. Alliance players have been asking for High Elves for a really long time, and Ion infamously told them to go “play Horde lol”. Also, they had been pulling excuses out of thin air, like “oh, there aren’t enough High Elves left” all while parading Alliance aligned High Elf troops around in almost every expansion. And then they gave the Alliance a literal half dozen ex Blood Elves who got kicked out of Silvermoon, hardly an entire people like the High Elves would have been.

It’s less that the VElves are Void-y, but more about Blizzard’s complete refusal to listen to anything Alliance players have been asking for, and then doubling down and rubbing it in for extra effect.

I could buy the whole there aren’t enough HE thing but then they gave us VE which would be equally rare if not more so.
