Typhoon, daze target and interrupt spell casting and lock that school of spell for 5 seconds

Suggestion for Shadowlands regarding the Druid balance specialization ability: [Typhoon]

Old:
“Blasts targets within 15 yards in front of you with a violent Typhoon, knocking them back and dazing them for 6 sec. Usable in all shapeshift forms.”
30 second cooldown.

New:
“Blasts targets within 15 yards in front of you with a violent Typhoon, knocking them back and dazing them for 6 sec. It also interrupts spellcasting and prevents any spell in that school from being cast for 5 sec. Usable in all shapeshift forms.”
30 second cooldown.

Note:
This would increase balance utility drastically but it would be balanced as Typhoon only has a 15 yard range compared to 40 yards for mages, warlocks and shamans.

This would change our playstyle to act more as a melee caster in case we want to interrupt and kill a healer or caster.

This would also play really well with the ability to cast while moving within starfalls radius.

It’s exactly what the spec is missing to become competitive with other casters.

30 second cooldown is also longer than kick (10 seconds) or mages counterspell (25 seconds).

It would also increase balance utility in Mythic+ dungeons as the AOE interrupt would be of great utility.

It would mean they will also have to reduce CD of Shadow Priests silence. Moonkins and Shadow Priests are the only one with very long silence/interrupt cooldown. But the idea itself, I think it’s good.

The last thing Druids need is -another- crowd control spell.

As I posted in the other thread you created, Balance does already have a (quite powerful) AoE silence. I really don’t see the need for what you are proposing.
