Typhoon in Shadowlands

I am really trying to understand the change with this, but I can’t figure it out.

Why would you remove the only skill we have that lets us push trash packs out of Sanguine ?

I mean sure you give us an option to take it, but we loose one of our best healing talents, so we are forced to play a useless talent every time we get Sanguine on affix.

Maybe rethink it? Baseline ability?
I’d rather have typhoon baseline, than Cyclone.

Yes, its quite a conundrum, pvp orientated people will probably say the opposite. But i agree, why CC’s are tied into affinities is unfathomable.

While i agree that its not ideal to have either vortex or typhoon, i dont think that “not having pushback on sang weeks” is the reason why they should rethink their choices… We have like 3 samg weeks in rotation, and its not like every other tank spec can do something like that…

Also they have to put something interesting into bala afinity so people actualy plays it more than for one boss per raid…

I was not aware of these changes but all i can tell you is that all healing classes are suffering greatly vs Rdruid because of the massive toolkit Rdruids have.
The only healer that comes close by a million miles margin to toolkit is monk and that still have 0 chance even with the new changes.

I know its your class and you love it, but to make M+ better Rdruid’s toolkit must be nerfed even further to make the other healers viable.

Imho soothe should NOT be removing the affix of enrage, as it makes druid the only healer that can bypass an affix and that makes it the only choice in pugs during raging weeks.

Alternatively they could give for example to other classes something to compete vs rdruids, for example mass dispel tooltip mentions that its dispel is so powerful that can remove regular non-dispelable effects, it should remove bursting stacks for example to make priests move out of the bottom line.

Its not removing it, its moving it to a talent option. I think the affinities and CC tied together are too much, they should be separated out, you should be able to go Resto affinity and still have typhoon if needed. Because having these locked in nullifies HotW. Eg, If you take Balance affinity for typhoon as feral… okay, so am i supposed to cast lunar strike, sunfire, starsurge, or should i just continue doing the same if not more damage as a cat?! Yea, HotW gives a bit more damage at range, but im not at range am i?!
Alright, well, I’ll take Guardian Affinity for incap - OOPS! NEED BEARFORM FOR THAT! Let me just waste 3 GCD’s - Well the spell i was going to interupt with incap has already gone off.
Resto - Ursols vortex: Now my heals are better? (Same issue as Balance affinity, when do i use it?) Ursols vortex? Castable in cat form? Probably not, since it says Resto/guardian in tool tip.

The affinity talents should be just that, affinity for those specs.

I mean sure, you give people a reason to take balance players into mythics, but they were already pretty good anyway, minus the lack of decent AOE.

I main guardian druid so, typhoon is really useful for me to position adds where I want them, Sanguine weeks it just becomes even more useful.

Monks can push things out, warriors can aoe stun and jump around to los stuff fast, demon hunters can do the same.

Druid tanks can just slowly saunter off to los stuff, or use typhoon ( but not anymore )

As for the enrage and soothe, it’s not just druids who can do that and not just resto either, all druid specs have soothe, so your not limited to taking resto druids, in fact I prefer taking monks and paladins with me into mythics.

Also Hunters I believe have a soothe pet, which also works well.

Alot of guardians issues are coupled in with Feral. & Being able to use spells in bearform is a big one. It takes the use out of any affinity and now because its locked to a CC its even worse because you’re just losing out. - I normally take Resto Affinity when im tanking for the passive heal now im going to be forced into Balance most of the time because of the CC. Same thing for feral. Just ill-thought that’s gone into these ‘reworks.’

It’s like, our tier 1 talent row, 2 rage generation and a defensive … why?

If they just switched brambles with soul of the forest, we would have a full tier 1 row with rage generation options and tier 5 would become our dps/defensive options, that would work out so much better and people would take different talents.

As it stands, people will take the same talents they always have and just rotate between balance/restoration affinity.

I find the lack of imagination they have for Druids, saddening :frowning:

The legion thorns damage trait on the weapon, now that was a useful talent.

It is very saddening, especially with all the ideas/feedback floating around.
