Honestly, it just served to further mock night elf fans, so I preferred to bring in the sources for the answer right away to nip this in the bud. Because I know that both YOU and Aeula will cry the next time when it comes to your favorite races, the next meme is not far away.

She even confirmed that it was never meant that way, that she never had it in mind.
Out of curiosity, why does that get you so triggered? I mean, would it really be that bad to have Malfurion actually struggling and in need of saving?

Malfurion is still, at the end of the day, another mortal being.
The one writing the quest has just now openly admitted that both were true. Which means that Malfurion was INDEED the one asking for help at some point during those exchanges given the information ingame.
What it was “supposed” to be, is irrelevant now. There are plenty examples of stuff that was supposed to be taken in other ways, and still made it live with a different approach.

No, what pisses me off is the reason why they want to do this, if the only reason is that they want to annoy other people, I will gladly spit in their soup.

I do feel that there are several people around that have a tough time acknowledging this.
And hope that’s because of some particular infatuation with Malfurion’s character that makes it hard for them to note he is also a flawed mortal being. Because the alternative points at some worrying underlying misogyny…
