Tyrande is now literally Illidan 2.0 lol

Good lord, it only took 10056 damn years for Tyrande to finally understand Illidans logic in sacrificing oneself for vengence. Sad part is, Malfurion disowned Illidan even though he was and is right yet he simps for Tyrande becuase the vengence & sacrifice she is doing, even though she is just like Illidan now, is all mystical (elune) & nature (Teldrasil) related! I would laugh & clap, cheer if when it comes to Illidan clone Tyrande being the anti hero person, Illidan returns to save her from herself & Malfurion admits that after 10060 years he was wrong, begs Illidans forgiveness & Tyrande starts banging llidan!

The child of light & shadow… Tyrande Elune priestess turned night warrior… Illidan, demon hunter turned good by the Pantheon… their child would be like super Nelf!

Good thing that didn’t happen. Wouldn’t really want a med’an 2.0

Mary Sues are awesome!

Good that Med’an is no longer canon.

Their child would be a disgrace and I’d support Malfurion through the divorce courts.

Tyrande is not Illidan. She is too dumb for that. Nathanos literally tells her that killing him will just send him straight to Sylvanas. Does Tyrande pause and thinks maybe she should extract as much information from him as possible? That him dying being part of the plan is in itself worthy of consideration? No. She just slices him open.

Say what you will about Illidan, at least he had a plan and a strategy. Two words that are completely absent from Tyrande’s vocabulary.

Basically, Nathanos pulled a Kel’Thuzad.
And Tyrande has the same intellect as Arthas.

Like pissing off all your neighbours. Also doing nothing after people go out of their way to resurrect him.

Mmmnnnyeh… Tyrande is a dumb unlikeable hag whereas Illidan was always a clever cool guy. Though you’re right they have some similarities.

Character wise I never really found anything memorable about her. Not even this Night Warrior arc of hers, because when it came to that Nathanos FMV she came off as dumb (Nathanos was telling her clear answers) and she was lacking in that fabled rage department that the night warrior is supposed to be infused with?

It really was a lose-lose situation for Tyrande, so I don’t blame her for it. If she kills him, he goes to Shadowlands anyway and licks Sylvanas boot. If she lets him live, he could potentially escape and ruin the lives of other innocents on Azeroth.

Reminds me of a picture I saw on Facebook…

:poop: take @ OP, there’s several integral differences between Tyrande and Illidan, to name just a few of them:

  1. Tyrande’s powers are based on the power of Elune, not fel magic (this means disintegrating souls and life force of other beings btw). Her “corruption” is the result of being too weak to contain it (she is the Night Warrior/Vengeance incarnate), not because the magic itself makes you corrupt (like fel does).

  2. Tyrande doesn’t slay her own kin/innocents and cackles as she does so, something Illidan does regularly both in old games and the novels.

  3. She doesn’t enslave & corrupt other beings to achieve her goal (see the fel orcs of Hellfire Citadel & Broken in Outland)

  4. She doesn’t ally with demons and naga and lets them raze a city of her kin to the ground (look up Nendis).

There’s probably a lot more you can pop out, but the basic premise of “LOL she sacrifices herself for vengeance/to protect her people” doesn’t make all characters who pursue this path the same, because different roads and ways lead there. It’s a very common arc.

This is also a good point. She’s going there anyway to kill them both again (Sylvanas and Nathanos). Should she risk him breaking free after imprisoning him, continuing to kill on Azeroth?

:grimacing:

Is med’an even cannon? Pls no

Last thing they said about him was that he is still canon, just not the guardian anymore. Although there might be more recent info about it.

Still there were another sollutions… i get it alliance security is very bad and you think that Nathanos will be yoinked like Anduin but what about killing him after few questions or use some magic to imprison him whatever??? No she is just too simple for this she didnt even ask us( players) if she can steal our kill…well i think you dont have to be genious to realise where Sylvanas is so her question was stupid too. Boo boo where is she?? Really ?

You dismiss this point so easily. Sylvanas/her Mawsworn kidnapped several faction leaders with absolute ease, why would it be different in freeing an imprisoned Nathanos :brain:

Sorry you will now kill everyone because you cant keep them in prison? Thats not great argument…what about using your brain and characters with almost unlimited power to came whit something?
