Tyrande will play an important role in Shadowlands

“We’re gonna learn more about Tyrande’s story. Obviously, she is still very upset about what happened to her people. That’s going to lead her to Ardenweald. She’s gonna get some answers to some questions, and there’s gonna be some stuff coming with her that’s too spoiler-y to talk about but there’s more Tyrande…. All I can say is she has a pretty big story moment in Ardenweald. Very big role also.”

Using words such as ‘‘Big’’ as well as ‘‘Important’’ with Tyrande makes me anxious and enthusiastic. Hopefully the Night Elves are well represented, they did an acceptable job with us in 8.1 (Not without some hick ups tho) hopefully we get some good lore continuation and retribution !

her important role is to show how awesome the horde is because that how it always go don’t expect anything good to come from it

I told ya that Night Fae somehow related to Night Elves!
Probably Tyrande will play a big roll in saving Nigh Elves souls from the Maw. Maybe we even will be able to restore them back to life! Than there is a change that Night Elves race will stop being dying, and their civilians will be back!

“Hope remains” © - As promised I will reopen my subscription for now.

Btw they also told that Elune did not respond on Night Elves calls during the War, again because of the mow. Because dark powers there gain to much powers.

Let’s hope it won’t be more humiliation like in BfA.

I have to disagree with that. 8.1 was another major setback for us and they essentially made everything we did undone by saying that Sylvanas can create infinite Val’kyr.

Well Blizzard showed us not so strong at that scenario. But it turns out that we have won a war on Darkshores. After losing everything, Tyrande manage to gather up an savage army of Warriors of the Night, and took her lands back.

This is first and only victory when Night Elves managed to defeat Horde without a help of the Human Potential (worgens are not humans)!

Blizzard showed Night Elves and Tyrande competent!

Too bad that we probably won’t see it till next xpack

It’s Val’Sharah 2.0

While I don’t hold it against players who wants to witness it, I really want to have Horde equivalent of this story as serioulsy Tyrande shouldn’t be of concern of the Horde player. We have our own nature related guys, and those who want to maintain order.

We have also abandoned plots from previous expansions which nicely would tie in.

And it would avoid situation where Tyranda would be assisted by a Horde player, which would be also quite a big derp.

Still I find it quite disheartening that there was no word of Vol’Jin’s who death, and questline was supposedly introduction to this expansion.

I kind of expect her to get disillusioned about Elune down there, who’ll be degraded from a goddess to just the boss of Ardenweald.

It’s one of those things Blizzard would do.

Shifting back to play second fiddle for an Alliance leader in another round of “neutral” content to save the world, specially after having the previous story being about being villainised…

Not a fan.

Is it really too much to ask for even a little bit of druidic lore to not be tied to the night elves?

This is supposed to be the place the Loa go to revive as well…
Are the loa only wild gods when it is convenient and not when it comes to druid lore?.
And yeah, we might end up working with an Alliance character again. Especially this Alliance character that Blizzard saddled with so much ranti-Horde baggage just one expansion prior. Why?

Horde players shouldn’t need to take orders from the Alliance if they want to play the hero.

Curious about other stuff, but god i hope this won’t be another Val’sharah.
Neither Tyrande, nor Horde players deserve to have that.

I doubt Horde players will quest with Tyrande, they might see her or encounter her in the area, and she might give you a few harsh words that is about it. Since they also stated

That statement is a contradiction, druid lore for mortals started with the Night Elves, I won’t be surprised if Malfurion is also there playing a role or even Cenarius.

Trolls have had their own particular branch of druidism (even if it wasn’t strictly called that way) since before Night elves even existed.
If we are to delve into the place where Wild Gods go to reincarnate, i want Rezan, Hireek, and Shadra to be there too.
I don’t want another emotional trip that reconnects Tyrande with Elune or some crap like that.

Don’t get me wrong, i want that bit to happen. But i want to play through it while going ALLIANCE.
I don’t want a Legion 2.0 where as Horde, all neutral content is once again driven by Alliance leaning characters. Specially not after having Horde ones either dying or being villain batted for the sake of some failure of faction war.

I’ve spent almost ten years waiting on troll ‘druidism’. Zandalar was kinda nice in that regard with Loti and Raal. But if we are to have a centred zone around it, they better give trolls (and tauren) their due.
This isn’t some additional ‘ancient Night elf land’ we are talking about.

I’ll repeat, i want Rezan. I want Shadra.

Regarding the bit about questing with/for Tyrande, they already said the zones on themselves will be more linear than BfA. So yeah, that probably means Horde will be saddled with Tyrande if she becomes the core protagonist of that zone.

world of retcons: the horde bias chronicles
honestly the lore is a joke at this point might as well let everyone by every class because the lore don’t matter this guys was the first no this guys or maybe this guys … it took 15 years but they completely destroyed what made me love the rts in the first place the world building it’s all gone and for what rule of the cool the uniqueness of both factions has been completely destroyed

i shudder to think how they will annihilate the lore of warcraft 3 too with even more retcons

watch tyrande forgive the horde for nearly wiping out her race in another face palming display of none consequences for the horde i’ve been watching this fanfic unfold for 15 years now and wonder when they will make a true mmo of warcraft

Q: After the Maghar orcs scenario, what happened to that alternate Draenor? What’s up with the lightbound?
A: That Draenor is still out there ,the light still has a presence on it. Those things, we keep in the back pocket, and if something really fits that’s something we can grab to look at under a new set of circumstances. Right now it’s life and death but light and void is very interesting to explore. This is just the first step on exploring the cosmology. Chronicle is written from a specific point of view (titans) but it is canon - more stuff did happen behind the scenes though, and you’ll find some explained in Shadowlands.

I’m glad that Blizzard admits that next addon is about Life and Death, and Night Elves will play a big role in it!
Imagine if addon about Life Realm would go without Nelfs…

So, story is very logical. Currently I don’t see any mistakes.

imagine being this naive and believing a man that lies to us on stage

I want the 4 shadowlands races playable. Necrolords, Venthyr, Kyrian and Night Fae.

That is the Night Elf players for you.

Not really. You must Elaborate on that. Not being called druidism = not druidism.

That is happening, no way around it, the way they do it for Horde players remains a mystery.

You just said it was established before the Night Elves…

The Tauren and Trolls much like the Worgen and Kultirans might appear as supporting characters and this is a stretch.
Blizzard confirmed Tyrande, not Malfurion or the druids. Furthermore you can’t have characters with barely any lore, that became druids 20 years ago be on the same level of Malfurion, harsh I know but it is true. They could include Hamuul like they did in the Legion order Hall or take a NEUTRAL path and have us all quest with Cenarius.

Sorry but People like Ysera,Malorne, and Cenarius trump the mediocre Loas :stuck_out_tongue:

I can assure you we Night Elves will be mad same as you, and the dev specifically stated that Tyrande has not forgotten what happend to her people, it is hard to imagine her working with the Horde.
If I recall the Legion beta was flooded with Horde tears about Valsharah and how mean Tyrande was to them :stuck_out_tongue: so they changed it when Legion went live. (She was still mean, just toned down a little)

Trolls worshipping Wild Gods they called Loa, and forming a bond with nature by drawing on the same energies Night elves do, is Druidism.

Even if they did not call it that way.

I’ve waited for it to be shown ingame in a relevant and extended manner. Not as some sidekick for Night elves.

Seems you read this post https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/tyrande-in-ardenwald/350637/16

And on topic I agree we shouldn’t get Val’sharah at all. I am not saying that I am against Tyranda getting development but it’s not a concern for Horde PoV.

They didn’t have issues to write silmuntaneous story for both factions in Jade forest. So I don’t see a reason Why Talanji couldn’t enter there to assist the Loa that has fallen.
