Tyrande's Darkening (8.1 spoilers)

You play a troll. Your people shrink heads and use them in rituals. Now delete out of moral integrity.

Thatā€™s true!

Have you guys every heard about ā€œDraenor is freeā€?

Have I ever told you how it is a coffin of the concept of a story?

Not claiming any moral ground here.

But saying that people donā€™t care about whatever Sylvanas does, doesnā€™t really add with all those threads and posts created expressively to complain about her actions.

And saying these sort of acts wouldā€™ve been seen normally even if coming from Sylvanas is being blatantly dishonest.

There has been debate and discussion for far less whenever her character is involved in ANY mildly controversial act.

Because this is far less then most of the crap Sylvanas pulls?

Also, for bonus points:

  • Preserved Night Elf Head
  • ā€œAn esteemed home decoration and childrenā€™s toy in Zuldazar.ā€

That was still an highborne head. Bloodelves and Highborne should be triggered aswell.

So you are saying that, had been Sylvanas the one given this flavour detail, nobody wouldā€™ve batted an eye?
I mean, Iā€™ve read guys arguing about what an evil person Sylvanas is for leaving in a ship with Ashvane and leaving Rexxar and Valtrois behindā€¦

Do you honestly expect people to wail about Sylvanas cutting someoneā€™s head off after Teldrassil?

More like I didnā€™t bother continue with a derailment that went once again into the usual Sylvanas hate wagon.

Yes.

They did with punctual acts of cruelty in Brennadam. Or to name a more precise example, how evil the Horde is for using a stitched abomination made of Stormsong soldiers.

I mean, I despise name calling, but you can be damned sure there were a few that argued about it.

If Sylvanas was the one that pulled this, people would complain.

You have to admit that was a mean move.

They didnt have valid ticketsā€¦ they had it coming sing

And didnā€™t even leave them some coins for the bus!! Preposterous!!

Are you comparing a single severed head with an entire butchered town and a abomination painstakingly stitched from several bodies (first of civilians, then retconned into soldiers)?

Do I need to remind you that you were there, downplaying Sylvanasā€™s efforts to make it look better?

I just got an idea! the new home for forsaken! Naxxramas

And I know where to put that several body thing. And I hope it screams so loud that you can hear it in the whole cityā€¦else the atmosphere wouldnt be the same

Hey, Iā€™m fine with the severed head.

That doesnā€™t erase the fact that given a situation with switched places, most of the ones that seem to praise this detail, would be screaming bloody thunder for Sylvanas.

And I noted it.

Also, Iā€™m not talking about the general context of Brennadam. Iā€™m talking about how people dissected individual acts and charged against them.

Had this one been some other isolated flavour event, it wouldā€™ve been added to the list par on the impaled dude of Brennadam.

Iā€™m a mage lmao. I have portals.

Did you also note that you are defending Sylvanas, yet attacking Tyrande? Why arenā€™t you treating Tyrande with all the nuances you apply to Sylvanas?

I mean, feel free to point out that Sylvanas gets it worse, but thatā€™s because a significant group of people hates her character. And even with mitigation, she comes across as pretty evil.

Further more, I myself agreed that Brennadam looks like a butt-pull unrelated to the rest of the Horde war campaign, and that it was a needless atrocity, so I legit donā€™t know what you wanna hear from me.

The said War Campaign also revolves around raising corpses and betraying them later, and on preventing a mother from reclaiming the corpse of her son, so thatā€™s high praise from me, and I only give it because I am sympathetic for what Blizzard did to the Horde.

Imagine how such abomination is made. Would you go for a coffee with the devolper of such thing?

Just dont downplay an abomination. An abomination is on of the worst thing you can ne in your afterlife.

Again, even if so, that wouldnā€™t be ā€œdouble-standardishā€ given the context.

Tyrande was turned to doing such things out of vengeance. Her people were slaughtered and her lands literally burned.

If Sylvanas did something like that, it would be a different thing, because Sylvanas declared the war in the first place. She wasnā€™t attacked. Her people werenā€™t slaughtered then, her lands were fine.

Tyrande does what she does out of vengeance and hatred that was pretty much forced into her by, shock - Sylvanas.
If Sylvanas did that, an outcry could ensue because that would be yet ANOTHER vile act committed out of the blue. For no relatable reason. At least, thatā€™s my OPINION.

Sylvanas is already deep down in the soil, that it easy to not notice when blizzard throws more dirt in her direction.
